First pick the area and time that fit your day. In 2026, the city’s schedule listed Banda Mole in the Hipercentro and CarnaKvsh in Savassi. The bloco Então, Brilha! gathered in the early hours in the central region, according to the 2026 traffic plan. These names help you understand the vibe of the party, but none of them has a 2027 route or time released. In the 2027 registration, closed on September 21, 2026, each bloco reported its date, time, and route, and those who had already paraded could register up to two processions (PBH, Sep/2026). That data becomes the official schedule; in 2026, it came out in January on the city’s interactive dashboard, with filters by date, neighborhood, music style, and kids’ blocos, plus a map of public restrooms. When the schedule comes out, note each day’s gathering point, dispersal point, and a useful station or bus stop for the way back. Picking two nearby blocos usually works better than crossing the city between parades. Going with kids? Where to stay for Carnival in BH: Centro, Savassi, or Pampulha?

How to get to BH and back from the bloco to your hotel

Plan your route from the hotel to the bloco on foot or by public transport, but confirm 2027 operations closer to the date. In 2026, PBH adjusted bus routes and temporarily deactivated about 300 stops in parade areas. BHTrans reported closures in the Hipercentro, Savassi, and other areas; ride-hailing cars had to pick up passengers outside the closed zones. Before heading out, check the bloco’s official route, look up the updated bus itinerary, and set a meeting point outside the crowd. Carnival in BH with kids: kids’ blocos and a hotel outside the route

BH is one of the easiest capitals for family Carnival, because kids’ blocos parade during the day and the official schedule lets you filter for them: in 2026, the city’s dashboard had a “kids’ blocos” filter and showed public restrooms in parade areas on the map. Pick morning parades and leave before dispersal.

To sleep well, the hotel should be close but outside the bloco route: check the parade route on the schedule before booking in Centro or Savassi.
