Voyage Voyage is not an anonymous publication. I am Marcelo Oliveira, and I write the guides you read here. I am Brazilian, I live in the Northeast of Brazil, and I travel whenever I can. I want to be clear about one thing: I am not a journalist, a tour guide, or a travel agency. I am a traveller who grew tired of finding generic, copied, and outdated guides when planning my own trips. Voyage Voyage is the guide I wish I had found.
How each guide is researched
I follow a simple and honest rule:
- When I have visited the destination, I write about what I saw first-hand — what was worthwhile, what disappointed me, and what I would do differently.
- When I have not visited yet, I say so openly and research the information through official sources: local authorities and tourism boards, attraction operators, and transport companies. I do not invent prices, opening hours, or stories about having lived somewhere.
Any information that can affect your plans — admission prices, opening hours, or visa rules — is published with the date on which it was checked. Travel information changes constantly. When a price increases or a rule changes, I return and correct the guide. That is why update dates appear throughout the website.
What I do not do
I do not claim first-hand experience of places I have not visited. I do not copy text from other websites. I do not hide whether information comes from research rather than personal experience. If I make a mistake, our Corrections Policy explains how to report it so I can correct it.
How the website is funded
Voyage Voyage is free and independent.
