Who’s performing at New Year’s Eve in Manaus 2027?

The Manaus city government has not yet announced the lineup for the countdown from December 31, 2026 to January 1, 2027. At the last edition, the national acts were confirmed on 12/18/2025 and the full schedule with set times only came out on 12/29, two days before the party.

The event is organized by ManausCult, the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events. For the countdown to 2026, under the theme “O Encontro da Nossa Gente,” the party featured national acts and more than 50 local artists across three simultaneous hubs (official lineup, 12/29/2025).

What the Ponta Negra lineup looked like at the last countdown

The Ponta Negra stage opened at 5 PM with Jean Sarrafo and continued with local bands and DJs such as D’Água Negra, Cauxi Eletrizado, Joyce Cândido and John Veiga. Bruno & Marrone went on at 11:30 PM to lead the countdown, and Klessinha played at 2:20 AM. Uendel Pinheiro closed the night at 4 AM.

Gospel New Year’s Eve the night before

The programming starts a day early. On 12/30/2025, the Gospel New Year’s Eve took over the Ponta Negra amphitheater from 5:30 PM to midnight, with Gabriel Guedes and the band Morada as the national acts. The event is part of the city’s official calendar under a 2023 municipal law, so it’s likely to return on 12/30/2026 (city government, 12/29/2025).

Free New Year’s Eve in Manaus: Ponta Negra and two more hubs with fireworks

Free · no tickets

You can ring in the new year in Manaus without spending a dime: the city government’s party has free entry, a stage with shows all night long and a midnight fireworks display at all three official hubs.

At the 2025/26 edition, Ponta Negra partied from 5 PM to 5 AM, Parque Amazonino Mendes in Alameda Alphaville from 6 PM to 5 AM, and Amarelinho in Educandos from 7 PM to 5 AM. The fireworks were low-noise, designed for children, seniors, people on the autism spectrum and animals. 2025/26 edition

The city government confirmed free entry in the beach closure notice (Implurb, 12/29/2025). For the countdown to 2026, a regional news report mentioned a display of about 10 minutes; the city government did not disclose the duration.

Ponta Negra is the biggest of the three hubs. For the countdown to 2025, there were around 150,000 people on the waterfront, 100,000 in the East Zone and more than 30,000 at Largo de São Sebastião in Centro, which also had a stage that year (Rede Onda Digital, 01/01/2025). The beach sits on the banks of the Rio Negro in the West Zone; the promenade, the amphitheater and the lookout points make up the tourist complex where the stage is set up.

The best free spot to watch the fireworks is the promenade in front of the stage, near the amphitheater, but it’s also the first area to fill up. If you prefer some space, arrive before 9 PM and stay at the ends of the promenade, where you can still see the display over the river. Swimming in the river is not allowed: the city government closes the beach for swimming from the afternoon of 12/30 until 8 AM on 01/01.

Tip: Ponta Negra is far from Centro and traffic in the complex is shut down from 6 PM, so staying in the neighborhood itself saves you from relying on a packed bus in the early hours. See hotels in Ponta Negra for Dec 30 to Jan 2.

Paid parties for New Year’s Eve in Manaus

Paid · price on request

In Manaus, the countdown is first and foremost the free public party at Ponta Negra. As of 10/09/2026, the only paid 2027 event with its own published page was Réveillon à Bordo, a boat tour on the Rio Negro with a view of the fireworks.

Réveillon à Bordo Oficial 2027, run by the agency Manaus Jungle Tours, boards at Mirante Lúcia Almeida between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM on 12/31 and returns at 3 AM on 01/01. Announced for 2027 The package includes a dinner buffet, desserts, savory snacks, soda, juice and water, a DJ, live music and bar service (organizer’s page, Oct 2026).

The boat’s page follows Embratur’s cancellation policy: 90% refund up to 31 days before, 80% between 21 and 30 days, and nothing under 20 days. The tour runs in any weather, rain included. The boat has a double advantage: it welcomes children, who are barred from the public party, and it skips the crowd on the promenade at the end of the night.

Ponta Negra, Alphaville or Educandos: which hub should you choose?

For out-of-towners, Ponta Negra is the natural choice: it’s the hub with the most infrastructure, the river backdrop and the biggest concentration of national acts. The other two serve those who live or stay nearby and want smaller crowds.

Amarelinho is the most convenient hub for those staying in the historic center, since Educandos is right next door. Alameda Alphaville mainly serves residents of the North and East zones and has few hotel options nearby.

How to get to Manaus and back from Ponta Negra after midnight

Getting back is the biggest practical risk of the night: traffic in the Ponta Negra complex was shut down from 6 PM and everyone leaves at the same time. In 2025/26, the city government deployed 145 buses from 8 PM on 12/31 to 5 AM on 01/01, plus 20 extra vehicles from 10 PM until 6 AM (IMMU, 12/30/2025).

Stress-free arrival for the countdown

  • Flight: Eduardo Gomes International Airport (MAO) is in the West Zone, the same side of the city as Ponta Negra; the ibis Manaus Aeroporto, for example, is 6.5 km from the beach, according to Booking. Compare cash and miles fares on FlipMilhas and try to arrive by the 30th.
  • Transfer: Civitatis sells Manaus airport transfers, priced per person and per leg on the page (from R$ 93.97 in Oct 2026).
  • Car: don’t count on a car on the night of 12/31 in Ponta Negra. For January 1 and tours outside the city, compare rental companies on Rentcars.
  • Insurance (optional): covers baggage and flight delays; check Seguros Promo.

At the last countdown, Ponta Negra was served by bus lines 120, 126, 130, 343, 354, 450, 542, 641, 642, 643, 675, 678 and A012. From 6 PM on 12/31, the lines from the Marina do Davi terminal moved to a temporary terminal at the entrance of the Alphaville complex, at the corner of Liberalina Loureiro and Thales Loureiro avenues, and the stops on Coronel Teixeira Avenue got signs with each line’s number.

Ride-hailing apps work, but surge pricing kicks in after midnight and cars can’t get close to the stage. Arrange your pickup on a street outside the roadblock, a short walk from the promenade. The smoothest plan is still to sleep in Ponta Negra and walk back or take a short ride.

Traffic at the other hubs

In Educandos, Rio Negro and Amâncio de Miranda streets were closed from 1 PM on 12/31, and lines 704, 705 and 706 were rerouted via Humaitá and Lourenço Braga avenues. In Alameda Alphaville, the roadblock ran from 6 AM on 12/31 to 6 AM on 01/01, with about 120 traffic officers across the city (IMMU, 12/29/2025).

How much does New Year’s Eve in Manaus cost?

The public party charges no admission; the real expense is lodging, airfare and getting around on the night. For three nights from 12/30 to 01/02 for a couple, hotels run between R$ 618 and R$ 3,466 on Booking (Oct 2026), depending on the neighborhood.

The scenarios below add up hotel, the countdown and the ride home for the night of 12/31, for two adults, taxes included. Airfare to Manaus and meals are left out because they vary by departure city; compare flights on FlipMilhas using the checklist further down.

New Year’s Eve in Manaus pitfalls: what nobody tells you

The 2025/26 entry rules are your best guide: the security check at the entrance blocks items many people bring to a beach party (ManausCult, 12/29/2025). The 2027 rules should come out close to the date.

Weather in Manaus for New Year’s Eve: heat, humidity and a chance of rain

December in Manaus is hot and humid, already in the Amazon rainy season, which runs roughly from December to May. Late-afternoon and evening showers are common; right after the last countdown, on 01/04/2026, the city government itself issued an alert for heavy rain in the city.

The good news is that a rain poncho is on the list of allowed items at the party, while umbrellas are banned. Wear light clothing and closed shoes that can handle wet sand; the color of the countdown has its own guide in New Year’s Eve 2027 colors. Bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise: they’re allowed too.

January 1 in Manaus: beach, transportation and tours

On January 1, 2027, a Friday and a public holiday, Ponta Negra reopens for swimming at 8 AM, after cleanup by Semulsp and Implurb. The special-service buses run until 6 AM, and after that the fleet follows the holiday schedule. There’s no official schedule for museums and restaurants; confirm hours on the 30th.

If you stayed in Ponta Negra, the promenade and the river are just minutes away. The historic center, with the Teatro Amazonas and Largo de São Sebastião, is on the other side of the city and makes a good destination for the 2nd, when businesses reopen as usual.

To extend your trip, the tours below depart from Manaus and head to the Meeting of the Waters, the Rio Negro and the rainforest. Boat and jungle tours usually operate on holidays, but Civitatis doesn’t guarantee departures on 01/01: confirm before booking.

New Year’s Eve in Manaus with kids and accessibility

With children, the rule matters: under Ordinance No. 003/2023 from the Juvenile Court, the minimum age for the public party is 12, always with an accompanying adult (ManausCult, 12/30/2025). If you’re traveling with younger kids, you have two options: watch the fireworks from the hotel or balcony, or board Réveillon à Bordo, which welcomes children and charges half price for ages 5 to 9.

For people with disabilities, the last edition had exclusive areas near the entrances of all three stages, with one companion allowed, upon presenting an official ID at the security check. Semsa set up medical stations at Ponta Negra and Alameda Alphaville, with two Samu ambulances at each hub, and recorded 26 calls that night, 14 of them at Ponta Negra (Semsa, 01/01/2026).

The low-noise fireworks help seniors and people on the autism spectrum. The Ponta Negra promenade is flat, but sand and crowds make wheelchair access difficult near the stage: arrive early and stay in the reserved area. The 2027 infrastructure hasn’t been announced yet.

Where to stay for New Year’s Eve in Manaus 2027: Ponta Negra, Centro or Adrianópolis?

For the party, the best neighborhood is Ponta Negra itself, in the West Zone: you can come and go without depending on the bus service. The historic center, in the South Zone, has the cheapest hotels and is next to the Amarelinho hub; Adrianópolis, between the two, is packed with malls and restaurants.

Ponta Negra has limited traditional hotel options on Booking: much of it is flats in the old Tropical complex. The hotels below have more than 270 reviews, with ratings checked on 10/09/2026. Rates go up for the countdown and Ponta Negra fills up first; go for a free-cancellation rate.
