New Year’s Eve in Gramado 2027 (the countdown from December 31, 2026 to January 1, 2027) has fireworks planned in the official tender and paid dinners already on sale, but the stage show and the fireworks map haven’t been released yet. Book a hotel with free cancellation in the meantime.

What you can already decide today
Gramado has three ways to ring in the new year, and each one calls for a different neighborhood. Book a rate with free cancellation and switch if your plans change.
1. Public party and fireworks downtown Planned in tender
No ticket needed: a stage on Rua Coberta and fireworks at midnight, as in the last edition. The 2027 act hasn’t been announced; the fireworks are planned in the tender (Gramadotur, 08/04/2026). Staying downtown means you can walk there and back, no car needed.

2. Paid dinner or party at a hotel or restaurant On sale for 2027
The Gatzz serves a five-course menu with a show on 12/31 at 8:30 PM, on Av. das Hortênsias: table R$ 898 and VIP R$ 1,098 per adult, premium drinks extra; the page doesn’t list the price tier (official site, checked 10/23/2026). The Bal Masqué runs from 10 PM to 3 AM at the Centro de Eventos Tomasini, in Carazal, with open bar, open food and the party’s own fireworks at midnight, which are not public fireworks (Sympla, checked 10/23/2026). Hotel dinners, per adult plus fee: Laghetto Fratello R$ 570 (09/25/2026), Laghetto Siena R$ 650 (09/25/2026; on 10/23/2026 the page didn’t list a price) and Prodigy (8:30 PM to 11:59 PM) R$ 699 (2nd tier valid as of 10/23/2026, on sale until 10/30/2026; few adult spots left as of 10/22/2026); the Bal Masqué is at R$ 890 in the 1st tier valid as of 10/23/2026, with tables of R$ 2,314 (2 people), R$ 4,272 (4, 1st tier) and R$ 6,141 (6, 1st tier), all plus fees (Sympla, 10/23/2026). Tiers change: check the link before you pay. The Bal Masqué is outside the Centro: arrange a taxi or transfer.

3. A quiet new year
If you’d rather have dinner early and see the Natal Luz lights without the crowds, you can stay in Canela, about 8 km away, where rates are usually lower. The Canela city government has not yet announced fireworks for 2027: see New Year’s Eve in Canela. If you want Gramado’s fireworks, arrange the trip back in advance.

Free fireworks and Natal Luz on New Year’s Eve
Gramadotur tender PE 018/2026 (item 7.5.1) plans a 6-minute continuous show at midnight on 01/01/2027, at a Centro location still to be defined (tender of 08/04/2026, read 10/21/2026). This is a planned item in the tender, not a booked contract or confirmed act: the New Year’s Eve location and act had not been released as of 10/23/2026. For the 2025/26 New Year’s Eve, the Hally & Banda show started at 10:30 PM on the Natal Luz para Todos stage on Rua Coberta, and the fireworks lasted about 8 minutes, launched next to the Igreja do Relógio. Gramadotur pointed to Av. Borges de Medeiros and the front of Igreja São Pedro as viewing spots (abc+, 12/17/2025). The 2027 spot may change.
New Year’s Eve happens within the Natal Luz of Gramado 2026/27, which runs from 10/22/2026 to 01/17/2027: the Christmas Village and the Rua Coberta stage stay open the week of the countdown. Dates, showtimes and tickets for the paid shows are in the Natal Luz guide.
Cold, rain and the trip back after the fireworks
Weather: December is summer, but in the mountains Canela averages about 16 °C at night and 25 °C during the day, with 179 mm of rain for the month, according to the 30-year series from Climatempo. At night, bring a layer and a rain jacket.
Traffic and parking (2025/26 edition): organizers expected more than 30,000 people between Av. das Hortênsias and Rua Coberta. Parking was banned on Av. Borges de Medeiros between Augusto Zatti and João Petry streets, the parade road closures were kept, and the area under the Av. das Hortênsias arches was pedestrian-only, with restrictions until 12:30 AM (abc+, 12/30/2025). Special buses for the countdown: none found. The 2027 closures had not been announced as of 10/23/2026. In practice, leave the car at the hotel and walk back.
Getting there: the most-used airport is Salgado Filho, in Porto Alegre, about 2 hours’ drive away. Compare flights on Booking.com and arrive by the 30th. The Gramado Sua Viagem shared transfer cost R$ 159 per person, round trip (09/25/2026); it serves flights from 8 AM to 8 PM.
How the 2025/26 New Year’s Eve went
Stage, fireworks, dinner and occupancy from last edition
- Stage: Hally & Banda, from 10:30 PM on 12/31/2025, on Rua Coberta (abc+, 12/17/2025).
- Fireworks: about 8 minutes, launched next to the Igreja do Relógio.
- Crowd: expected more than 30,000 people; the final tally was not found (abc+, 12/30/2025).
- Paid party: Bal Masqué at the Centro de Eventos Tomasini, with tickets from R$ 1,100 plus fees, the 2025/26 price (GZH/Pioneiro, 12/22/2025).
- Hotels: forecast of 90% of 26,000 beds occupied on New Year’s Eve night, according to the tourism secretary (Jornal do Comércio, 12/30/2025). This is a forecast, not a final count.
