Gilberto Gil makes his festival debut and Criolo performs a show dedicated to the album Nó na Orelha. Emicida, Gaby Amarantos, Lazzo Matumbi and others round out the bill.

How to Get to the Parque de Exposições

The address is Av. Luís Viana Filho, 1590, in Paralela, and gates open at 5 p.m. The organizers haven’t yet released the 2026 transportation plan, so the best guide is the 2025 operation, when Semob moved up and extended bus schedules and kept extra service on demand from midnight at the Acesso Norte, Pirajá and Mussurunga stations. The metro ran without interruption over the weekend. Uber and 99 are the alternative to the bus; there’s no official info on pickup points or parking.

Where to Stay for Afropunk in Salvador

Think about the ride back at night before choosing a neighborhood. Pituba and Armação sit on the Atlantic coast, on the same side of the city as Paralela, and Rio Vermelho offers bars and buzz before and after. Pelourinho is better by day but means more travel on the way out. See the comparison in the guide where to stay in Salvador.

Tip: gates open at 5 p.m. on both days and the 2026 transportation plan isn’t out yet. Book with free cancellation and lock in your ride back once Semob announces the operation. See hotels in Pituba for 11/07 to 11/09.
