Private transfer: booking and boarding

The private 4×4 is the way to set your own departure time from Fortaleza and travel with your group all the way to your pousada in Jericoacoara. Sim7 advertises R$1,100 per vehicle with a departure time of your choice, quoted on 10/01/2026.

Provide your pickup point, pousada, number of passengers, luggage and car seat. If you’re arriving at Fortaleza airport, Transfer Jerico picks you up at the airport; with Sim7, arrange the meet-and-greet and flight monitoring in writing before paying. After collecting your bags, follow the meeting point on your voucher; don’t confuse Pinto Martins (FOR) with Jericoacoara airport (JJD).

Shared transfer: how to board

The shared transfer with the final 4×4 connection included is a way to save money without booking the Jijoca-to-Jericoacoara-village leg yourself. Sim7 advertises bus, minibus or van with 4×4 to the pousada for R$164.50 per person each way, quoted on 10/01/2026.

Book pickup at a serviced address and keep your voucher with the time. Another operator, Transfer Jerico, advertises R$210 per person each way, about 6h and hotel pickup at 7–8am, quoted on 10/01/2026. Choose the offer based on the pickup that fits your trip; one company’s price doesn’t apply to the other.

Bus, taxi and rideshare app

When buying a bus ticket, choose an offer that includes transport to the village or also arrange the final connection; getting only to Jijoca is not getting to your pousada. Check the origin, terminal and destination on the ticket before paying.

Board at the location indicated by the operator, not necessarily at the airport. Check schedules and payment at the time of purchase and leave margin to get out of the airport terminal. Taxi or rideshare app only enter this comparison with a driver accepting the entire route and a defined final connection; don’t count on an ordinary city ride to handle the whole journey.

Rental car

Rent a car if you plan to use it during the road portion of your itinerary; if you’ll spend every day in the village, the transfer already covers drop-off and the 4×4 connection. Check the rental counter or shuttle and the pickup time on your reservation.

Arrange where to leave the car and how to continue in a suitable vehicle to the pousada. Don’t take an ordinary car onto the sand to save on this connection. Compare daily rate, coverage, fuel, parking and final 4×4; see Jericoacoara or Preá: where to stay before stating your destination.

At night, with luggage and kids

For a red-eye flight or traveling with children, choose a private transfer with flight monitoring arranged; if using the morning shared transfer, plan where to sleep until pickup. A 7–8am hotel departure is not an automatic boarding right after landing.

Request a car seat, mention a stroller and check luggage capacity before paying. On a trip with a switch to a 4×4, keep documents and medication in your carry-on bag. The Jeri fee and Jericoacoara itinerary are in the main guide; separate transport and activities for after you arrive.
