New Year’s Eve in Singapore 2027 is on the official calendar at Marina Bay; the detailed program usually drops in late November. For the 2025/26 countdown, there were 30 minutes of fireworks starting at 11pm, and the MRT ran until about 2:30am. To see the bay and simplify your trip back, prioritize hotels near Marina Bay. Ticketed parties require their own booking; there’s already an announced option at the Sky Lounge at the Wyndham.

What’s confirmed for the next countdown?
The Singapore Tourism Board calendar lists Marina Bay Countdown 2027 for 12/31/2026–01/01/2027. The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), which organizes the party, usually releases the full program in late November: the 2025/26 countdown program came out on 11/27/2025.
That’s why the URA portal still shows the 2026 edition: until the announcement, last countdown’s numbers are the best reference for planning.

2026 edition For the 2025/26 countdown, the ELYSIUM show began at 11pm: 30 minutes of fireworks in four acts, in 360° around the bay, with a one-hour soundtrack. Before midnight, countdown projections lit up the facade of the Fullerton Hotel and UOB Plaza 1; the Esplanade had free shows and the Togetherland Christmas market took over the Bayfront Event Space (200,000 sq ft) from 12/11 to 01/04. The 2026/27 format may change.

Where to watch the fireworks for free at Marina Bay?
The public experience happens around Marina Bay, for free: Merlion Park, the Esplanade waterfront and the Bayfront area are the classic spots. For the 2025/26 countdown, entry and exit to key areas were controlled, each section closed when full, bicycles were banned and the Crowd@MarinaBay map showed crowd levels in real time (URA, 11/27/2025). The 2026/27 map comes out with the program.
2027 calendar announced The simplest plan is to pick one side of the bay and a place to stay that matches it. Trying to move between the two sides near the countdown can turn a short walk on the map into a long detour on the ground.

Fullerton waterfront and Merlion Park
This is the financial district side, facing Marina Bay Sands across the water. Raffles Place is a useful reference for arrival; Fullerton and Collyer Quay make sense when your priority is staying on this side of the bay. The exact position available on the night depends on the security plan.
Esplanade and Marina Centre
The Esplanade is on the north shore, next to the cluster of hotels and malls in Marina Centre. Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay and Mandarin Oriental let you plan the night in this sector without having to cross the bay to sleep. Seeing the water from the promenade doesn’t mean every room at these hotels has the same view.
Bayfront and Marina Bay Sands
Bayfront serves the Marina Bay Sands side and Gardens by the Bay. It’s a logical base if you’re already staying there or have a booking, but crossing to Fullerton or the Esplanade means factoring in bridges, detours and controlled areas. A regular observation deck ticket doesn’t replace a party booking and doesn’t guarantee you can stay until midnight.
Choose your side before you choose your hotel. Do a daytime reconnaissance, locate restrooms and exits, and agree on a meeting point away from the waterfront. Bring water and a light rain jacket, and keep the path clear for others.
If you plan to stay on the Esplanade waterfront, you can focus your stay in Marina Centre. See hotels in Marina Bay for Dec 30 to Jan 2 helps you compare this location with farther-flung bases.
Which paid parties are already announced?
The Sky Lounge at the Wyndham Singapore has already announced the night of 12/31/2026, from 7pm to 1am, with dinner, a live band and a separate countdown option. The Pan Pacific offers a stay package for the same date; the lounge party is sold separately.

Wyndham: dinner, countdown and the “++” price
Dinner is served from 7pm to 10pm: S$ 298++ per adult, or S$ 283.10++ on the promo for bookings made by 10/31/2026. Children aged 6 to 12 pay S$ 149++. The offering includes an international buffet, a welcome oyster, a glass of sparkling wine and free coffee and tea; other alcoholic drinks are charged à la carte.
If you do dinner, you can add the Cocktail & Countdown for S$ 30++ per person. To attend only from 10pm to 1am, the published price is S$ 80++. Confirming the booking requires a 20% deposit. These are prices published in October 2026; ask for the final total and cancellation conditions before you pay.
The “++” symbol indicates service and tax surcharges. The IRAS tax authority states that GST also applies to the service charge, when there is one. Keep the surcharges in mind when comparing offers: two included drinks don’t equal an open bar, and the Wyndham notes that the fireworks view depends on position and seat availability.
Tax rule: IRAS — prices and GST. The Wyndham booking uses a request form, not a ticket with instant availability.
Pan Pacific: the package and the regular room are different products
Fireworks by the Bay applies to 12/31/2026 in the Executive Marina Bay Room, Pacific Club Room and Panoramic Suite. The package is non-refundable prepaid and doesn’t allow changes or cancellation. The hotel makes the fireworks contingent on weather and authorities and doesn’t guarantee scale, duration or an unobstructed view.
The regular Deluxe Panoramic City View rate shown on Booking below is another category and had free cancellation. Don’t compare the two products as if they had the same benefits. CÉ LA VI and Lantern are also names to watch when they publish an offer for the next countdown; their regular pages alone don’t confirm a New Year’s Eve 2027 party.
Source for the package and conditions: Pan Pacific Singapore — Fireworks by the Bay, experience conditions.
Where to stay: hotels by location and access
Marina Centre and Fullerton are the most direct choices for prioritizing the bay and reducing reliance on transport after the party. Chinatown and Clarke Quay balance accommodation and access to the center; Bencoolen, Rochor and Orchard require a more careful plan for getting back.
There are two different decisions: sleeping near a promenade and watching the fireworks from inside your room. The first depends on location and open routes; the second depends on category, window orientation, floor and the written conditions of the offer. “City View,” “Sea View” and “Courtyard” describe different views.

Marina Centre: get back to the same side of the bay
Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay and Mandarin Oriental are in the Marina Centre sector. The logic is to arrive via Promenade or Esplanade and stay on that shore. Choose the actual route on the night according to security guidance; proximity doesn’t authorize crossing a closed area.
Fullerton and Shenton Way: financial district side
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is the option next to the Fullerton complex and the mouth of the river. QT Singapore is in the Shenton Way sector, deeper into the financial district. These are bases for building your arrival from the Raffles Place/Downtown side, without treating every hotel labeled “Marina Bay” as if it were next door to the Merlion.
Chinatown, Clarke Quay and Bencoolen: compare price with the trip back
Mercure ICON is in Chinatown/Telok Ayer; Holiday Inn Express in Clarke Quay; the two ibis hotels are in Bencoolen/Rochor. These bases may work better for those exploring the city over several days. A walk back from the Fullerton area is longer than sleeping at the edge of the bay; do the route in daylight before deciding if it works for your group.
YOTEL in Orchard suits those who prefer to stay in the shopping area. It’s the option in this selection most dependent on a trip to the bay: book a backup for after midnight, without assuming extended MRT hours.

Prices and Booking scores checked on 10/08/2026 for 12/30/2026–01/02/2027, one room and two adults, with displayed taxes and fees added together. There are rooms with twin and double beds: compare the category described, not just the total. All ten options had more than 100 reviews and available pricing; the rate may change before booking.
If saving is the goal, start with Mercure ICON or the ibis hotels and weigh the trip back. If reducing travel is the priority, compare the Marina Centre options with Fullerton. For families, check actual occupancy with children: a search for two adults doesn’t show the price for your group.

How do you get back after midnight?
The most predictable route back is to a hotel within walking distance of the bank where you spent the night. Extended 2026/27 hours usually come out in late December. 2026 edition For the 2025/26 countdown, the MRT extended service into the early hours: last trains at 2:15am from City Hall (North-South and East-West lines), 1:55am from Marina South Pier, between 2am and 2:50am on the Downtown Line and around 1:40am on the Circle Line; the Tanah Merah–Changi Airport branch was not extended (last train at 11:50pm). Some bay station exits closed for crowd control (summary of SMRT/SBS Transit notices).
The organizer lists Bayfront, Promenade, Esplanade, City Hall, Raffles Place, Downtown, Shenton Way and Marina Bay as useful stations for the surrounding area. They serve different sides: “Marina Bay” is also the name of a station and shouldn’t be picked automatically just because it matches the name of the party.
Map and stations: the organizer’s Getting There page. The special hours listed on that page are from the 2025/26 countdown until a new notice is posted.
Before you head out, check the last train from your station toward your hotel, including any transfers. The LTA describes regular service running roughly from 5:30am to midnight, with festive extensions announced by the operators. One line still running doesn’t guarantee the next connection will be available too.
Source: LTA — rail network.
Plan A: dispersal and walking
Leave along the marked routes, keep your group together and head back to the base you chose on the same side of the water. For Chinatown or Clarke Quay, the walk means leaving the heart of the bay toward the river area and the inner streets; test the route without crowds and keep a backup option.
Plan B: MRT with verified hours
Use the SMRT or SBS Transit notice for 12/31/2026, not a summary without a year. Also check whether any exits are closed and whether service is altered at your boarding station. Save your hotel address on your phone so you don’t depend on signal when deciding your route.
Plan C: taxi or ride-hailing app
Pick a permitted pickup point outside the bay crowds and expect a wait. Roadblocks can keep the car from reaching your desired spot. Taxis charge time-based surcharges, and apps show the fare at the moment you book; neither should be treated as a fixed-price ride when leaving the party.
The last train of your connection matters too. Travelers with small children, wheelchair users or anyone not up for much walking gain more from simplifying the route than from choosing a distant hotel just for the lowest price.
How much does New Year’s Eve in Singapore cost?
For three nights and two adults, the hotels in this selection range from R$ 2,623 to R$ 23,852 with the taxes and fees shown (October 2026). Accommodation is only part of it: add flights, meals, insurance, airport arrival and any paid party.
The three scenarios show lodging for the couple and one night in the free public area, with a walk back. The walking distance varies by base; scout the route beforehand. Flights, food, insurance and the Changi transfer go in a separate budget. The Wyndham party is charged in Singapore dollars (SGD), with “++” surcharges.

Booking, 10/08/2026; 12/30–01/02, two adults. Totals with the fees shown, excluding private party, meals or flights. The per-person amount is roughly half the total. Walking depends on the open route and the group’s conditions.
To build the full cost, compare flights to Singapore with enough connection time and check travel insurance prices. When searching flights, change the origin and dates: the example departs from São Paulo, and the international flight may require leaving Brazil before 12/29 to arrive with time to spare.
How to get to Singapore and out of Changi?
Air arrivals come through Changi Airport (SIN). By public transport, the official guidance is to take the airport train to Tanah Merah and switch to the East West Line toward Tuas Link; your exit point depends on your hotel’s area.
Arriving on December 29 or 30 gives you time to catch up on sleep, get familiar with Marina Bay and sort out your transport before the night of the 31st. It’s a planning recommendation, not a requirement of the party. If you land late, check the last train and keep a taxi or transfer as a backup.
Routes, payments and taxi surcharges: Changi Airport — leaving the airport.
With luggage or a nighttime arrival, compare the Changi transfer to your hotel. Check capacity, luggage, meeting point and whether the price is per vehicle or per passenger before choosing.
Documents and insurance
The ICA requires a passport valid for at least six months for foreign travelers and submission of the SG Arrival Card within the three days that include arrival, except for official exemptions. Anyone who has recently been in a country with yellow fever risk should check the certificate requirement; the rule looks at the six days before entry.
Use the ICA page directly to verify requirements for your passport and your route, including connections. Insurance is a useful choice for medical coverage, delays and baggage; compare limits, deductibles and exclusions based on what you need, without confusing it with a general mandatory entry document.

What to do on January 1?
January 1, 2027 falls on a Friday and is a national holiday in Singapore. A light itinerary works better after the early hours: a leisurely coffee, an outdoor stroll and one attraction with verified hours, rather than scheduling a tight sequence of visits.
Calendar: Ministry of Manpower — 2027 public holidays.
Morning: hotel and river area
Keep the start of the day free to sleep and have coffee. Staying in Clarke Quay or Chinatown, take a walk around the Singapore River area before crossing the city. If you have a flight on 01/01, factor in luggage and the trip to Changi before buying an attraction ticket.
Afternoon: Gardens by the Bay with a shelter option
The outdoor gardens run regularly from 5am to 2am; Cloud Forest is an indoor attraction with its own ticket. Check the official hours page for closures and changes, since regular operation isn’t a special confirmation for 01/01/2027.

Hours: Gardens by the Bay — operation and closures. To choose which areas to visit, see our Gardens by the Bay guide.
If the rain picks up, keep an indoor visit instead of insisting on viewpoints and walkways. Save for January 2 any activity that requires more energy or a time that’s hard to hit after the countdown. For the tours below, check holiday-specific availability and which attractions are included.
Gardens by the Bay
Choose your ticket by the set of attractions and the date. It’s a regular visit to the gardens, not access to the countdown party.

- Marina Bay Sands SkyParkCity view on a regular visit; doesn’t include the countdown or staying until midnight.fromR$ 164.01per personSee ›
Prices are “from,” Civitatis on 10/08/2026. Categories, availability and operation on 01/01 depend on the activity.
Also check your hotel’s check-out time and where to store your luggage. For a tour with a reservation, leave a buffer between leaving your room and reaching the attraction: on a holiday, transport and meals shouldn’t depend on a single place you haven’t verified yet.
Kids and accessibility: which plan works?
For small children or people with reduced mobility, the main advantage is a base close to the chosen sector and a night with a simple exit. Bayfront and Marina Centre offer MRT access, but the accessible map for an ordinary night doesn’t replace the Countdown’s circulation plan.
Kids: dinner with published rules or a shorter night
At the Wyndham, the dinner already lists a rate for ages 6–12; check the condition for younger children and participation in the 10pm package before booking. At the Pan Pacific, children up to 12 have access to the Pacific Club Lounge before 5:30pm in applicable categories; that’s not authorization for the nighttime party, which is a separate product.
In the public area, prioritize water, an identified restroom and an exit point your group can actually use. A stroller helps on the way, but it needs room to move and won’t solve a congested promenade. If waiting until midnight is uncomfortable for your child, a shorter night and a stroll the next day may work better.
Accessibility: confirm route, room and event separately
Gardens by the Bay offers wheelchair rental from 9am to 8:30pm, a reference for the daytime visit. That service doesn’t automatically cover the early hours of New Year’s Eve. For the night, check station elevators, a step-free route, an accessible restroom and your return point to the hotel.
When booking a hotel, select the accessible category and confirm the equipment you need. For the Sky Lounge, ask about elevator access, restrooms and table position; the party page doesn’t detail all of these points. A dinner reservation only solves food and seating when its conditions fit your group.
What’s the weather like and when should you arrive?
December and early January fall in Singapore’s northeast monsoon wet phase. The local meteorological service describes the possibility of periods of persistent rain and thunderstorms; that’s climatology, not a forecast for the night of 12/31/2026.
Source: Meteorological Service Singapore — Singapore’s climate.
Bring light clothing, comfortable shoes with grip, phone protection and a rain cover that lets you walk without taking up space. Have a covered spot to wait if needed and follow weather advisories close to your trip. Whether the fireworks go ahead depends on the authorities and the night’s conditions.
Arriving by 12/30 is the recommended plan for those coming from Brazil who want to get familiar with the route. Keep the UTC+8 time zone in mind when organizing flights, reservations and calls home: Singapore’s New Year’s Eve happens before Brazil’s countdown.
What should you check before booking?
The costliest mistakes are paying for a view the room doesn’t offer, adding up a rate without taxes and relying on special transport from another year. Check the product, the room’s orientation and the date of the notice before turning a reservation into a locked-in plan.
- A room with a city view isn’t a room with a fireworks view. At the Fullerton, the Premier Courtyard rate quoted faces the courtyard; at the Pan Pacific, the City View rate isn’t the Fireworks by the Bay package.
- A regular viewpoint ticket doesn’t guarantee access to the early-hours party. Check the time and date restrictions.
- A lodging package may be non-refundable prepaid, even when another rate at the same hotel offers free cancellation.
- A “++” price isn’t the final total. Ask for the service charge and GST breakdown at the party.
- A walking map is a daytime reference; closed areas and dispersal can change the route at night.
- Special transport with 12/31/2025 written on the page belongs to the previous edition, even if the footer has a 2026 update.
To compare other urban destinations, see the New Year’s Eve guide, New Year’s Eve in Hong Kong, New Year’s Eve in Bangkok and New Year’s Eve in Dubai. Dates, parties and transport need to be checked in each city.

Sources and when each announcement comes out
The STB calendar confirms the 2027 edition at Marina Bay, and the Wyndham confirms its private party. The public program (hours, fireworks duration, shows, projections and access areas) usually comes out in late November; in 2025, it came out on 11/27.
The last trains by line, bus diversions and roadblocks come out in the final days of December, in SMRT and SBS Transit notices. Until then, the 2025/26 countdown hours cited above serve as a reference.
To follow the announcements, check the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown portal and the SMRT and SBS Transit notices. For January 1, check the hours and closures of the attractions you’ve chosen. Frequently asked questions
Is New Year’s Eve in Singapore 2027 confirmed?
The Marina Bay Countdown 2027 appears on the official Singapore Tourism Board calendar for 12/31/2026–01/01/2027. The detailed program usually comes out in late November and the special MRT hours in late December. The Wyndham Sky Lounge private party already has published dates and times.
What time do the fireworks start and how long do they last?
The 2026/27 time comes out in the URA program in late November. For the 2025/26 countdown, the fireworks started at 11pm and lasted 30 minutes, in four acts around the bay.
Which area is best to stay in for New Year’s Eve in Singapore?
Marina Centre and Fullerton/Raffles Place simplify logistics when you stay on the same bank of the bay. Chinatown and Clarke Quay let you compare cheaper lodging, with a longer walk. Orchard requires planning a transfer, especially after midnight.
Does the MRT run after midnight on New Year’s Eve?
For the 2025/26 countdown, yes: the last trains left between 1:40am and 2:50am, with City Hall at 2:15am; the branch to Changi Airport was not extended. The 2026/27 hours usually come out in late December. Check the last train toward your hotel and each transfer; keep a walking, taxi or app backup.
Does the Marina Bay Sands ticket include the party and fireworks?
The regular Marina Bay Sands SkyPark ticket is a visit to the attraction. It doesn’t guarantee access to a New Year’s Eve party or staying until midnight. Confirm the product, the date’s time and the specific reservation with the venue organizing the celebration.
To compare another countdown in the Pacific region, see New Year’s Eve in Auckland, with guidance on the Sky Tower, the waterfront and the walk back to your hotel.
Which base should you choose for your countdown?
To keep the night centered on the Esplanade, choose Marina Centre and head back to the same sector. For the Merlion bank and the financial district, compare Fullerton and the Raffles Place/Shenton Way bases. If price weighs more, consider Chinatown and Clarke Quay with the return route scouted.
Book the paid party based on what it includes and the position offered, then sort out the return. On the 1st, leave room to rest and adjust the outing to the weather and the attraction’s actual hours.
