Your choice depends more on the kind of night you want and how you’ll get back than on the “New Year’s Eve” label itself. The waterfront is the bet for anyone willing to wait for a municipal schedule; Jacarecica concentrates the big party with several sectors; Pontal da Barra offers a smaller celebration on the shores of Lagoa Mundaú. A hotel cuts down on travel only if the celebration happens in the same property and your booking includes access.

Public and free party: what’s been announced so far?

No City Hall announcement was found for the 2027 edition. That means hubs, concerts, DJs, free entry, access controls and fireworks are all still pending. Check the Maceió City Hall website before picking a spot on the sand or booking a hotel based on the promise of a view.

The BaladAPP by Ticketmaster box office confirms 12/31/2026, doors at 10 p.m., at Jacarecica Beach. It’s a private party, and entry requires a digital or printed ticket along with an official photo ID.

The sectors don’t deliver the same experience. Arena Happiness, Make a Wish and Espaço Premium advertise open bar and open food with different menus. Arena Dream is not all-inclusive: drinks and food are paid separately. Lounges have their own rules and capacities. Check the sector, what’s included, the age rating and the cancellation policy on the final screen before you pay.

Open questions: the source we checked didn’t clarify fireworks or re-entry. Prices vary by sector, tier and fees, so the valid price is the total shown by the box office at the moment of purchase.

Réveillon do Alto 2027

The Réveillon do Alto ticket page confirms 12/31/2026, starting at 10 p.m., at Motonáutica Lagoa Clube, Avenida Assis Chateaubriand, 301, Pontal da Barra. The offering advertises all-inclusive premium, individual tickets and lounges for groups.

On 09/06/2026, at the box office we checked, the first-tier individual ticket cost R$ 490 plus a R$ 73.50 fee. Lounges for ten people were listed at R$ 6,500 or R$ 7,000, with fees of R$ 975 and R$ 1,050 respectively. Prices and availability can change when the tier rolls over. The attractions were listed as “coming soon”; fireworks and re-entry weren’t mentioned on the page we checked.

Hotel and resort: a room isn’t a ticket

The Maceió Mar Resort was already showing rates for stays that include 12/31/2026, with a 50% deposit as a guarantee and free cancellation or changes up to 60 days before arrival. The page mentions a New Year’s Eve party, but travelers should ask the hotel in writing for the exact list of what the rate includes: room, dinner, drinks, party, number of guests and children’s policy. Booking a room with an ocean view doesn’t guarantee a view of the fireworks.

Where to stay: waterfront, Jacarecica or Pontal da Barra?

Where you stay changes your New Year’s Eve logistics. A nice beach during the day doesn’t confirm a stage, fireworks or open access on the night of the celebration.

• Pajuçara and Ponta Verde: these make sense if you prioritize restaurants, the boardwalk and the chance to join the municipal waterfront party, should it be confirmed. Don’t book counting on fireworks outside your window while the 2027 locations haven’t been announced.
• Jacarecica: shortens the distance to Celebration. Confirm with your lodging whether the final stretch can be walked safely and whether there will be roadblocks or a pickup point on the way back.
• Pontal da Barra: the most logical base for Réveillon do Alto, but the lodging options differ from the tourist waterfront. Plan your ride there and, above all, your pickup after the party.

The special 2027 traffic plan hasn’t been published yet. As a historical reference, for the 2026 celebration the waterfront roadblocks started at 4 p.m., DMTT recommended public transit and expected a gradual return to normal from 2 a.m. onward. 1. Pick the party before the neighborhood, and test the actual route, not the straight-line distance.
2. Ask the organizer for the official pickup and drop-off point for rideshare, taxi or transfer.

4. Don’t rely on a private car near the hubs. If you drink, don’t drive.
