The schedule for New Year’s Eve in Natal RN 2027 (the night of December 31, 2026 into January 1, 2027) hasn’t been released yet: the City of Natal hadn’t announced attractions, stage or transportation as of 10/23/2026. Paid parties have already been announced, most without a published price. In the meantime, book in Ponta Negra with free cancellation.
- Confirmed: the Esmeralda Praia Hotel party (guests only) and Réveillon da Prainha (Via Costeira, announced by the organizer; sold through the Outgo app). Public fireworks are not confirmed: there’s only a City Hall price survey from 09/28/2026, with no contract signed.

New Year’s Eve Natal RN 2027 schedule: what’s out so far
As of today the City of Natal hasn’t published the public schedule (checked on 10/23/2026). The only signal is a City Hall price survey tied to the Official Gazette of 09/28/2026, which includes a Funcarte market research notice for a possible fireworks show on land at Ponte Newton Navarro and over the sea at Ponta Negra, with a “minimum duration of 10 min” starting at 11:59 pm (Official Gazette, 09/28/2026). It’s a price survey for a possible contract, not a confirmed schedule or a signed contract. Last year the waterfront stage and 30 attractions were announced on 12/19/2025 and buses running until 4:30 am on 12/23/2025, just days before the big night. So treat the two weeks of December as your decision window and don’t book anything without free cancellation.

1. Free public party on the Ponta Negra waterfront Not announced
In 2025/26 the City set up two free venues, Ponta Negra (South Zone) and Redinha (North Zone). Ponta Negra packs hotels, restaurants and beach into the same neighborhood and lets you walk back. Don’t pick the neighborhood counting on hopping between the two venues at midnight.

2. Paid hotel party Confirmed for 2027
Esmeralda Praia Hotel is already selling its lodging-plus-party package (see below), which is guests-only and booked through the hotel’s website. If you’d rather have a beachfront hotel without a party package, go with Aquaria.

3. A quiet New Year’s, away from the stage
Via Costeira is home to resorts and private parties, far from the Ponta Negra crowds; you’ll generally need a car or transfer to reach the urban waterfront.

Esmeralda details checked on 10/18/2026; as of 10/23/2026 the official page still has no single tickets, price tiers or names of the six attractions. The pool closes at 11 am on the 31st for setup, and children under five need an accompanying adult. With any package, confirm the minimum nights, the dinner, the children’s policy and whether the “fireworks view” really overlooks the public show, which hasn’t been made official yet.
Fireworks and getting back
On New Year’s 2025/26 the low-noise fireworks launched from a barge in Ponta Negra and lasted about 12 minutes; in Redinha, about 14 minutes, at Ponte Newton Navarro (Agora RN, 2026). For 2027 there’s only the 09/28/2026 price survey mentioned above, with no contract signed.
- Buses: in 2025 a decree created lines SE2, SE3, SE7, SE8, SE9 and SE13, boosted the Corujão E and N-73 night lines and waived fares from 12/25 to 12/31 (Decree No. 13,634/2025). Don’t use those routes as a plan for 2027 until STTU publishes new ones.
- Ride apps: near the stage you may need to walk outside the closed-off area; there’s no public data on prices or wait times on the way out.
- Banned in 2025/26: glass, sharp objects, weapons, tripods, rigid tables and chairs, and fireworks (Agora RN). The 2027 rules haven’t come out yet.
- From the airport: the airport (NAT) is in São Gonçalo do Amarante, about 30 km from Ponta Negra (Visite Natal). The Luck Receptivo transfer costs R$ 150 per adult each way from 12/18/2026 to 01/31/2027 (quote from 09/25/2026).
- Kids and accessibility: favor a party with a declared setup or a base within short walking distance, agree on a meeting point and confirm restrooms, age rating and a route without sand once the official map comes out. The Esmeralda Kids Club runs until 3:30 am.
- Weather: in December the average high is 30.4°C and the month sees 29 mm of rain (1991–2020 normals, INMET): light clothing and a rain jacket for quick showers.

Each total adds R$ 600 in transfers for the couple (Luck, 09/25/2026). If the public party is confirmed as free, “free” will only mean no ticket: hotel, food and transportation stay in the budget. Always ask for the price for the same dates and the same occupancy, with all taxes included.
