Virada na Praia (3 nights in Pina) has a pre-sale announced for 10/27 (box office) or 10/29 (event profile), with no price until 10/28; Atlante Plaza, Mar Hotel and Tatu also already have parties. While the announcement doesn’t come, book a hotel with free cancellation.

What you can already decide today
New Year’s Eve falls on a Thursday this time, stretching into a long holiday weekend, and the line-up announcement usually drives up prices in Boa Viagem and Pina. Book now at a rate with free cancellation and switch if the stage moves. Choose by the kind of night you want:
1. Free public party in Pina Not announced
For the last three editions the main stage has been at Praia do Pina, and for the 2025/26 turn the party ran from 5 pm to 5:30 am (Folha de Pernambuco, 12/30/2025). If you want to walk there, stay in Pina or the beginning of Boa Viagem.

2. Paid open-bar party in Boa Viagem Confirmed for 2027
Four options confirmed for 2027, with only Tatu publishing a price: Virada na Praia (a paid area right next to the public stage; in the 2025 edition it cost R$ 330 to R$ 650 per person), Réveillon do Atlante Plaza (open bar and open food, package from 12/31 to 01/02; no price on the website) and Réveillon do Mar Hotel (open bar, kids’ area and its own fireworks display; no price on the website as of 10/26/2026, book via the “Reserve agora” button or by phone at (81) 3302 4446). Réveillon do Tatu (Tatu Bola, 9 pm to 4 am, open bar and open food) sells full tickets at R$ 490 + R$ 49 fee and kids’ tickets (ages 6 to 12) at R$ 245 + R$ 24.50, until 11/07 (Sympla, 10/28/2026). At hotel parties, sleeping at the hotel itself means no ride home.

3. A quiet New Year’s Eve, away from the crowd
For dinner and watching the year arrive without an arena, Recife Antigo is the base: it’s about 5 km from Pina, with bars and restaurants near Marco Zero. No shows are announced there for 2027.

Virada na Praia 2027: what we know
Virada na Praia is the paid area set up in front of the city’s free stage, at Praia do Pina. The ticket includes a premium open bar (12-year whiskey, imported vodka, gin, sparkling wine and beer), exclusive bars and restrooms, and a view of the stage. Age rating: 18+; minors only in the table area, accompanied by a parent or close relative (official website).
- 2027: the official website announces 3 nights at Praia do Pina, the 4th year in a row at the location (official website, 10/26/2026). Ticket Folia, the official box office, expects the launch and pre-sale opening on 10/27/2026 and lists 12/27/2026 as the start date (ticket page, 10/26/2026); another reseller lists 12/31 at 11:59 pm. Confirm the dates for each night before buying. Prices, sectors, batches and line-up have not been released yet (checked on 10/26/2026): the organizers only mention “big national acts”.
- Reference price (2025 edition): individual lounge at R$ 330 (12/28 and 12/29) and R$ 460 (12/31); table for four at R$ 450 and R$ 650 per person (Folha de Pernambuco, 09/18/2024).
- Where to buy and follow: through Ticket Folia, on the website and at kiosks in the RioMar and Boa Vista malls (pickup Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 8 pm, according to the ticketing company); the official Instagram usually posts the launch first.
Where to watch the fireworks for free
For the 2025/26 turn the display lasted 10 minutes, at midnight, with 15 tons of noiseless fireworks launched from two barges: one in Pina and another in front of the Acaiaca building, in Boa Viagem (CBN Recife, 12/31/2025). Since there are two barges, you can see them from anywhere along the boardwalk between Pina and Acaiaca, without entering the arena. If you have kids or want to avoid the crush, stay in the Acaiaca stretch, where there’s no stage. The 2027 format hasn’t been announced yet.
How to get back after midnight
The 2027 plan hasn’t come out yet. In the last edition, which is the reference:
- Car: Av. Boa Viagem was closed from 2 pm on the 31st, between Rua Pereira Costa and the start of Av. Antônio de Góes (Diario de Pernambuco, 12/30/2025).
- Expresso Réveillon bus: four lines from the RioMar, Recife, Tacaruna and Plaza malls, at R$ 20 round trip. On the 31st, the RioMar and Recife lines ran from 5:30 pm to 6:30 am, and the Tacaruna and Plaza lines until 4:30 am. They accepted Pix and card, but not the VEM card (CBN Recife, 12/22/2025).
- Ride app: no public data on price or wait time at the exit. With the waterfront closed, the safest bet is to walk to Av. Conselheiro Aguiar, the official 2025 detour, and call the car from there.
Rain, accessibility and January 1st: December brings quick rain showers: bring a light rain jacket. The 2027 accessibility plan hasn’t been published; at paid parties, ask for written confirmation before buying. On the 1st, full-day tours (Porto de Galinhas, Carneiros) usually don’t operate.
And what about Marco Zero?
No New Year’s Eve show is announced at Marco Zero for 2027. It’s the Carnival stage, but in recent editions the city government concentrated the party in Pina and set up neighborhood hubs at Lagoa do Araçá, Morro da Conceição and Ibura. It works as a base for anyone wanting a calm New Year’s Eve or outings before and after.
