The decisive factor on this trip is disembarking in a different city. You fly to Argentina, visit Brazil along the way and head home from the United States. The itinerary requires lining up your cabin, flights and international documents. The daytime port calls allow for excursions with a set return time; to spend a whole night at the festivities, it’s better to plan a stay on land before or after the cruise.

How much does it cost to sail on the Carnival Firenze, and where to book?

The public Carnival page listed the 02/02/2027 crossing from US$ 3,740 per person in a double cabin, as of 10/15/2026. However, when selecting 2 guests with residence in Brazil, the official booking engine returned no fares available. That figure is a reference from the listing, not a final confirmed quote for the Brazilian reader.

In Voyage Voyage’s October 2026 survey, the main difficulty in comparing the Firenze was availability: Logitravel BR didn’t list it, and Carnival’s engine showed no bookable categories for the Brazil profile. Confirm the sales channel, currency, taxes and fare conditions before buying your flight. There is no confirmed price by cabin category in this query.

The price of an international trip should be compared in the currency of the sale. Exchange rates, IOF tax, flights to different cities, a hotel before embarkation and the return from Miami all change the math. A dollar-per-person listing is neither the total cabin price nor a guarantee of installment plans in Brazil. You can check the itinerary and the listing on the official sailing page.

To compare with Carnival departures outside Brazil, check CruiseDirect as a secondary option: an English-language site, prices in dollars and international payment subject to IOF. The line’s presence in the search engine doesn’t guarantee a spot on the Firenze crossing. Logitravel remains the comparison in reais for the other Brazilian ships below.

If you’d rather embark in Brazil during the holiday, these are alternatives on other ships, with prices checked on Logitravel on 10/15/2026. They don’t replace a quote for the Firenze.

Where does the Carnival Firenze depart from in 2027?

Carnival announced three consecutive South American sailings in early 2027: Long Beach to San Antonio, San Antonio to Buenos Aires, and Buenos Aires to Miami. These are repositioning voyages, starting and ending in different ports, not a season of weekly round-trips out of Santos.

Announced departureDurationRoute
01/04/2027 · Long Beach15 nightsPacific coast to San Antonio, Chile
01/19/2027 · San Antonio14 nightsFjords and the far south to Buenos Aires
02/02/2027 · Buenos Aires16 nightsRio, Maceió and the Caribbean to Miami

Source: official announcement of the 2027 departures, accessed on 10/15/2026. Compare the number of nights with your vacation dates and include the flight days. On a repositioning cruise, automatically booking a round-trip to the same city out of habit can create an unnecessary expense getting back to the starting port.

The Brazilian port calls are part of a larger international route. Being in Rio’s port on the arrival day doesn’t give you the right to board the ship: there must be a booking issued for that segment. In our query, the announced sailing began in Buenos Aires and ended in Miami; we found no Rio–Maceió segment on offer.

Carnival 2027: what are the port calls in Rio and Maceió?

The Carnival Firenze is scheduled for Rio de Janeiro on 02/05/2027, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Maceió on 02/08, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The main holiday runs from Saturday, 02/06, to Tuesday, 02/09; Rio falls on the Friday before, and Maceió on Carnival Monday.

Source: Carnival itinerary, accessed on 10/15/2026. Arrival and departure times aren’t full free hours ashore: clearing the ship and reporting back eat into part of the port call. To understand the difference between the ships that week, see the Carnival cruise comparison.

In Rio, use the Rio Carnival hub to check the days for the samba schools and the parties. The practical problem is getting back: leaving a street party late and relying on a rideshare app during the crowds can put your trip at risk. Choose a daytime activity near the port area or transportation with a set return time.

In Maceió, don’t book a full-day excursion without comparing duration, traffic and the ship’s all-aboard time. The specific 2027 street schedule still needs to be confirmed; follow the city’s announcements closer to the trip. The Maceió port guide helps you tell a ship visit apart from passenger embarkation.

What’s included on the Firenze and what costs extra?

The Firenze combines included main dining and entertainment with restaurants, drinks and services charged separately. Your guest card concentrates onboard expenses; the fact that you don’t pay cash on the spot doesn’t turn a purchase into a complimentary perk.

ServiceHow to factor it into your budget
Cabin, main dining and buffetBase of the trip; confirm fare conditions
WaterWorks, Serenity and Playlist showsListed as included in the ship’s official presentation
Il Viaggio, Bonsai Teppanyaki and steakhouseSpecialty restaurants with a charge
Bars, internet, spa and casinoConsumption or booking charged separately
Service gratuitiesCheck the current policy and whether they were prepaid
Excursions and medical expensesCharged separately; assess your insurance coverage

For drinks, CHEERS! has age rules and requires purchase for the adults in the same cabin. Check the total price, eligible items and duration before deciding: light drinkers shouldn’t multiply the price of a single glass and conclude the package pays off. The official CHEERS! terms need to be read alongside the offer you choose.

Ask for a statement with the cruise fare, taxes, gratuities and booked services. The most useful math is for the whole group, including the days on land, not just one night on the ship. That also keeps you from comparing the base price of an interior cabin on the Firenze with the balcony of a Brazilian cruise that includes different fees.

What are the cabins on the Carnival Firenze like?

The Firenze offers interior, ocean view, balcony, suites and Terrazza accommodations. Your choice should consider location and how you’ll use the room; an Italian name for a category doesn’t guarantee more space, quiet or an unobstructed view.

TypeWho it works forWhat to check
InteriorThose who want to cut spending on the roomBed configuration and deck
Ocean viewThose who want natural lightView and window position
BalconyThose who’ll use the outdoor space while sailingPrivacy, location and obstructions
TerrazzaThose who want access to the reserved areaCategory and booked benefits; guests 12 and older
SuiteThose who need more space or servicesActual area and benefits written into the fare

Carnival states a minimum age of 12 for all guests in Terrazza accommodations. A family with a younger child needs to select another category. For a crib, reduced mobility or medical equipment, confirm the service and the exact cabin type in advance; availability on the ship doesn’t mean availability on that date.

Over 16 nights, the room will be used on full sea days. Open the deck plan and look at the neighboring spaces: a restaurant, theater, elevators or an outdoor area can change the experience. If location is essential to you, check whether the fare lets you choose the number; a guaranteed cabin may be assigned later.

Tip: compare the total balcony difference for both guests across the 16 days, instead of just looking at the installment. If the extra cost eats into your flights and spending money, a well-located interior cabin may be the more balanced choice.

What are the pools, activities and kids’ programs like?

The ship has WaterWorks, SportSquare, kids’ spaces and a Serenity area reserved for adults. There are options for splitting the day between activities and rest, but a reserved area doesn’t turn the whole ship into a kid-free trip.

Camp Ocean, Circle C and Club O2 organize activities by age group. Check the rules for the program matching your child’s age, the schedules posted onboard and which extra services are paid. For families, booking the cabin near the meeting point may matter less than making sure everyone sleeps away from a noisy area.

Sea days call for a different pace: pick a few activities and leave room for meals and rest. On port days, decide whether you’d rather go ashore or enjoy the ship with fewer people in the common areas. The program can change for safety and sea conditions; use the ship’s listing as a reference for its facilities, not as a daily schedule for the February sailing.

What restaurants, bars and shows are on the Firenze?

Michelangelo and Medici are the main restaurants, and the ship also has a buffet and casual options. Il Viaggio, Bonsai Teppanyaki and Fahrenheit 555 serve a different kind of meal and are charged separately, per the official presentation.

Guy’s Burger Joint and Tomodoro are good for those who prefer a casual meal. Before booking a specialty restaurant for a family, check the menu, dietary restrictions, price and kids’ policy in the app or with the cruise line. A restaurant’s name on the ship’s profile doesn’t confirm an open table on the day you want.

The Rosso Theater hosts performances, and Piano Bar 88 and Tuscan Lounge are entertainment options. Those looking for a lively bar and those who want to turn in early can enjoy the same ship, as long as they choose their cabin and schedules carefully. The features and venues mentioned appear in the official Carnival Firenze presentation, accessed on 10/15/2026.

How do you get to embarkation in Buenos Aires and return from Miami?

The trip begins in Buenos Aires on 02/02/2027 and ends in Miami on 02/18. Plan to arrive in Argentina the day before or earlier, and leave a buffer after disembarking in the United States; the ship’s expected 8 a.m. arrival isn’t a promise you’ll be out of the terminal at that time.

Check your ticket for the Buenos Aires terminal and the check-in window. If flights are booked separately, the risk of missing the ship connection needs to factor into your decision. Hotel, luggage and transfers to the port should be planned for the embarkation city, not for Rio just because it appears as a port call.

On the way back, factor in immigration, baggage claim, transport to the airport and the airline’s required check-in time. Avoid filling the last day with a paid excursion that depends on an on-time disembarkation. The combination of departure and return airports should be researched as a multi-destination trip.

What documents, ages and restrictions need to be checked?

The Firenze to Miami requires a passport and the entry requirements of every country on the itinerary. A Brazilian ID card (RG) that works on some Mercosur trips won’t cover the Caribbean segment and disembarking in the United States. Check the visa or authorization that applies to your nationality before paying non-refundable expenses.

Minors leaving Brazil without one of their parents or traveling alone have authorization rules: see the Brazilian Federal Police guidelines. The documentation for the flight to Buenos Aires and the maritime documentation need to be compatible. The booking name, passport and tickets must match; report any discrepancy before they’re issued.

Carnival doesn’t accept passengers who will reach the 24th week of pregnancy at any point during the trip, per the pregnancy policy. The line also imposes specific requirements for infants on routes with more than two consecutive sea days; the infant policy must be checked for the sailing you choose.

For older travelers or people who need assistance, describe what will be needed on the ship, at the terminal and at the port calls; an accessible cabin doesn’t remove obstacles in every port. The medical center is paid, and Brazil’s public health system (SUS) doesn’t work as an onboard care network. When getting a quote for cruise insurance, check for maritime care, evacuation and which countries are covered.

What should you check if you need to cancel or change the trip?

The cancellation rule depends on the fare, the deadline and the booking channel. Ask for the contract that applies to your booking before paying the deposit; don’t assume a full refund just because another fare or another cruise line allows changes.

Keep the proposal, receipts, booking number and the terms for gratuities, taxes, excursions and add-on packages. Check what happens if a visa is delayed, someone backs out or a flight doesn’t make it to embarkation. Insurance with cancellation coverage only covers the events and limits stated in the policy.

Another common headache is booking an excursion on your own and missing the ship’s departure time. The price advantage needs to be weighed against distance, traffic and a return plan. In a city during Carnival, choose an activity with a buffer and keep the ship’s emergency contact with you, even without internet.

Carnival Firenze or a Carnival cruise departing from Brazil?

The Firenze makes sense for those who want a long international trip and are okay with embarking in Buenos Aires and ending in Miami. For four to nine nights over the holiday, the MSC and Costa options departing from Brazil require fewer days and different logistics. The prices below are for other ships, not the Firenze.

Before deciding, check whether your vacation can accommodate the 16 days, whether your documents are ready and whether there’s a cabin available for your country of residence. Only then compare flights to Buenos Aires and the return from Miami. If the goal is a first trip over the holiday, the Divina’s four nights require less time; if the goal is the Firenze and its international port calls, plan the full budget for the crossing.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Carnival Firenze the former Costa Firenze?

Yes. The ship previously operated as the Costa Firenze joined Carnival in 2024, with the Fun Italian Style concept. Its Italian-inspired decor doesn’t make it a Costa Cruises departure.

Does the Firenze spend Carnival 2027 in Brazil?

The Buenos Aires–Miami sailing is scheduled to call in Rio on 02/05/2027, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and in Maceió on 02/08, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The announced embarkation is in Buenos Aires on 02/02.

How much does the Carnival Firenze cost in February 2027?

The public page listed from US$ 3,740 per person in a double cabin as of 10/15/2026. The simulation for 2 Brazil residents returned no fare available; the figure isn’t a final quote by category.

Does Logitravel sell the Carnival Firenze?

The Firenze wasn’t listed in the Brazilian catalog checked on 10/15/2026. The Logitravel promotions on this page are alternatives on other ships, identified as such.

Can I bring a small child in a Terrazza cabin?

Carnival states that all guests in Terrazza accommodations must be at least 12 years old. Families with younger children need to select another category.

Can you watch the Rio parades during the port call?

The ship is scheduled to depart at 6 p.m. on 02/05/2027. That port call doesn’t allow you to watch the nighttime parade and return to the Firenze.
