Getting there and back after midnight

Staying at a hotel within the resort itself can reduce your reliance on a car, but transportation must be confirmed for the hotel and park you choose. Disney reports complimentary buses for guests from 45 minutes before opening until one hour after closing; the special 12/31/2026 schedule hadn't been announced yet. Don't automatically apply that policy to an off-site hotel that uses Disney in its trade name.

The monorail connects Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and select resorts via the Transportation and Ticket Center. On 12/31/2025, CityWalk operated from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., with DJs, performances by the band Zee-R and entertainment at the Waterfront Stage. The 12/23/2025 announcement described light pyrotechnic effects over Pat O'Brien's at midnight, plus confetti: not a big fireworks show. The VIVO Sip & Bites party required a separate ticket. All of that belongs to the 2025/26 edition. The Thornton Park road closure notice published by the City is also from 2025; there's no notice for 2026 as of 10/23/2026.
