The New Year’s Eve in Paris 2027 is already on the official tourism calendar for December 31, 2026 on the Champs-Élysées. To choose your night, compare the street celebration with dinner at a restaurant or a Seine cruise. The main difference is where you’ll be at midnight, whether you’ll have a seat, and how you’ll get back to your accommodation.
Verified on 09/05/2026: Paris je t’aime announces the free party and the show at the Arc de Triomphe. The operational details for access and transport that night have not yet been corroborated in this review by statements from the Préfecture and the edition’s operators. Private offers are already announced, such as the Grand Bleu dinner cruise.

Free New Year’s Eve on the Champs-Élysées and at the Arc de Triomphe
The spot announced by the official tourism board is the Champs-Élysées axis, next to the Arc de Triomphe. The 2027 show page lists videomapping starting at 11:50 pm and fireworks at midnight. Use that announcement to pick your area; then check the entrance map and the circulation plan for the night.
The city statement from 12/23/2025, referring to the previous New Year’s Eve, advised arriving before 9 pm and discouraged strollers due to the crowd density. It’s a reference for gauging the type of experience, not a confirmation of the 2027 gates and schedules.
If that show is your priority, focus your planning on that area. Trocadéro and the Seine banks should not be treated as guaranteed viewpoints for the Arc fireworks. Avoid planning a dash between the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Élysées near midnight.
Dinners and Seine cruises: check where you’ll be at midnight
A restaurant, a boat ride, and a hotel party are different experiences. Before you pay, check whether the booking includes the midnight moment, a table for your group, drinks, and staying on site after dinner. A photo of the Eiffel Tower in the listing doesn’t prove a view of the Arc de Triomphe.
Grand Bleu: dinner and party with return to the dock before the countdown
The Grand Bleu operator announces the night of December 31, 2026 at €329 per person, with dinner, drinks, and a DJ — price checked on 09/05/2026, subject to booking terms and availability.
Boarding is listed at 7:30 pm, with departure at 8:30 pm and return to the dock at 11:15 pm. The party continues on board after the cruise. The stated location is 8 Port de la Gare, in the 13th arrondissement. This option requires a clear choice: the countdown happens after returning to the dock, not during a Seine cruise in front of the Eiffel Tower. Operator terms, checked on 09/05/2026.
How to compare other offers
Bateaux Parisiens keeps December 31 dinner options in categories with different positions on the boat. When checking, select the full 2026 date and confirm availability; a regular dinner fare is not automatically the New Year’s Eve fare.
- Restaurant: check the menu, drinks, closing time, and whether the table stays available past midnight.
- Cruise: compare boarding, the stretch spent cruising, return to the dock, and table position.
- Hotel: confirm whether the rate includes a supper or party and whether the view area can be used by guests in your category.
Metro on New Year’s Eve and arriving from the airports
Don’t base your trip back solely on regular metro hours. The New Year’s Eve operation may have closed stations and boarding limited to certain entrances. Check the plan for this edition on Île-de-France Mobilités and RATP, and use your exact accommodation address too.
Free rides: reference from the previous edition. For December 31, 2025 → January 1, 2026, Île-de-France Mobilités announced free transport from 5 pm to noon, with the exception of the airports. That doesn’t prove unrestricted free rides in 2027 or that all lines and stations run through the night.
Charles de Gaulle and Orly
Rail access to Charles de Gaulle is via the RER B; Orly is also served by metro line 14. The RATP airport guide details the options and tickets. For a single trip, the full fare for the Ticket Paris Région ↔ Aéroports checked on 09/05/2026 is €14; check whether the pass you already have covers the route.
If you land on December 31, factor baggage pickup, the ride to your hotel, and any check-in cutoff into your planning. Don’t treat a fixed airport-to-party time as a guarantee you’ll make it.
Where to stay in Paris for your party
For the Champs-Élysées, start your search around the avenue, in the 8th arrondissement, and check the walk to an authorized entrance. Proximity only helps if access to your hotel stays viable during the closures.
For a dinner cruise, choose your accommodation based on the actual boarding and disembarking dock. Not all boats leave from the Eiffel Tower: the Grand Bleu announced above boards at Port de la Gare. A base on the wrong side of the city can add a trip you didn’t plan on making in the early hours.
When comparing hotels, check cancellation policy, reception at your arrival time, breakfast, and late check-out cost. Don’t assume a neighborhood will be cheaper or that a room with a tower view will have a view of the fireworks.

Compare the trip cost with your origin, dates, nights, and number of people defined. Add transport to Paris, accommodation, food, the December 31 experience, local travel, and sightseeing. Keep the amounts in euros while comparing options; when converting, note the exchange rate and the fees of the payment method you use.
Those living in Europe can arrive by train or flight from another city; those leaving from Brazil will have a different cost structure. That’s why a single range for “a couple in Paris” doesn’t replace quotes for your actual trip. At the last edition, the Préfecture warned about crowd density and restricted glass containers in the area. Check the new rules before packing your bag. Agree on a meeting point, keep your hotel address on you, and don’t rely solely on your phone signal.
