What time does each school start, and when are the Champions?

Special Group start times had not been announced as of October 23, 2026, in the information available. That means the position in the table is confirmed, but it doesn’t authorize you to set a time on your own. The start, breaks and finish need to be checked against the edition’s operational communications.

The Champions’ Parade will be on 2/13/2027, according to LIESA. The order of the top six depends on the scoring. Schools with “to parade” status haven’t yet competed in the 2027 contest; their parade position is not their final ranking.

Where to watch on TV or online?

The 2027 broadcast schedule should be checked with each network, separating the Special Group and Série Ouro. The official order pages cited in this article don’t include the full TV and streaming lineup. Don’t count on a single channel covering all five nights from start to finish.

To go in person, see how to choose your Special Group ticket and the Série Ouro sectors and tickets. Boxes have their own services and access: compare them in the Sapucaí boxes guide.

How do I get to Sapucaí and back to the hotel in the early hours?

Choose your route based on the sector printed on your ticket, since crossing to the other side of the Sambadrome on arrival can mean a long detour. Check the gate, access and road closures on the official Sapucaí map before you leave.

Use the metro once the 2027 special operation is confirmed, and agree on a meeting point away from the crowds. Surge pricing and the wait for a rideshare app tend to be rough during the dispersal. The Carnival transportation guide helps you plan the trip back; times and stations must follow the edition’s announcements, not regular weekday service.

🛏️ Stay close: Lapa and Centro: compare the route to the station and access to your sector🚇 Getting back: Save the alternative route and your hotel address before you go in. Leaving by car may mean walking to a street that’s been reopened.💡 Tip: With kids, consider the length of the night, bathrooms and an early exit. The crowds and the sound don’t get any less intense just because you’re seated.

Does the parade order affect the scoring?

The order shows when each school enters the runway; the champion comes from the scores and the rules of the competition. The Special Group and Série Ouro have their own organization, judging and results. Don’t add up scores from different groups or treat the first school in the table as the leader.

Check the 2027 documents on the LIESA and Liga RJ channels before applying time, tiebreak or relegation criteria from another edition. Also follow the Rio Carnival scoring; the scores page serves a different purpose from this night-by-night calendar.
