Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar 2027 (Jan 17–20): Age Rules and Shows

🇧🇷 POR | 🇺🇸 EN | 🇪🇸 ES

Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar 2027 is the themed cruise for kids and families aboard MSC Divina, from January 17 to 20, 2027, with embarkation and disembarkation at the port of Santos. Children can board from 6 months old, and the shows include Mundo Bita, Galinha Pintadinha, Tiquequê and João Gomes. PromoAção charges a port fee of R$ 1,350 per person (Oct 2026) on top of the cabin.

It’s 3 nights on board, Sunday to Wednesday, with cabins for 2, 3 or 4 people. If you can’t get a cabin or want to spend less, there are regular ships sailing from Santos the same week, like MSC Virtuosa on 01/16/2027 on Logitravel, from R$ 4,864 per person (Oct 2026), without the kids’ shows.

When is Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar 2027 and what’s the itinerary?

Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar 2027 runs from January 17 to 20, 2027, Sunday to Wednesday, departing from and returning to the port of Santos. Embarkation is on the 17th, from 12pm to 4pm, and disembarkation starts at 8am on the 20th, according to the event’s official FAQ.

The port-of-call itinerary hasn’t been published. The organizers say they only define the route close to embarkation, because the shows take place on the pool decks and depend on the weather. For a family with a small child, that changes your planning: don’t count on a beach day ashore, and pack whatever your child needs for three full days on board, including sunscreen, a spare swimsuit and any ongoing medication.

This is the festival’s first edition at sea. Festivalzinho already existed on land, as a music festival for parents and kids, and the ship version keeps the idea of a lineup where adults and children watch the same shows. The three-night window is short for anyone who’s never cruised before and wants to test how their child reacts to the ship’s motion, schedule and noise.

Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar01/17 to 01/20/2027MSC DivinaFamilies with kids
WS On Board01/20 to 01/23/2027MSC DivinaAdults (forró and piseiro)

MSC Divina runs charters back to back in January: each one boards the day the previous one disembarks. Navio do Gigante, by Léo Santana, is the same ship right before, from 01/14 to 01/17, and has an adult audience, with alcohol from age 21 and late-night shows. Festivalzinho is the only one of the season designed for kids, as the themed cruise calendar shows. If you find the dates 01/17 to 01/20 linked to another artist, you’re looking at an error: at the official checkout the sailing appears under the code 01/17/2027.

What are the attractions and shows at Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar?

The confirmed attractions are Mundo Bita, Galinha Pintadinha, Tiquequê, Beatles para Crianças and Rita Lee para Crianças, for the little ones, and João Gomes, Alceu Valença, Vanessa da Mata and Maria Gadu, for the adults, according to the event’s official page, checked on 10/11/2026. That’s nine attractions over three nights.

The order of the shows and which day each attraction performs haven’t been released yet. What the organizers say is that the lineup was curated so parents and kids experience the same festival, and that the stages are on the pool decks. In practice, families with a baby should plan around nap and bath times: kids’ shows are usually during the day, while the MPB and forró sets happen at night, when the little ones are already asleep. This hasn’t been published yet; check the schedule with PromoAção once it’s out.

Beyond the stage, MSC Divina has leisure areas listed on the ship’s page on the official website: Doremiland, Junior Club, Graffiti Teens Club, Virtual World, Aqua Park, a waterslide for teens and The Garden Pool, plus the Pantheon Theater and the 4D cinema. If you want to get to know the ship before buying, the MSC Divina guide covers decks, restaurants and cabins.

What’s the minimum age and who looks after the kids on board?

The minimum age at Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar is 6 months, according to the official FAQ. On board, MSC runs kids’ clubs by age group, with trained staff and no extra charge, except for the baby care service, which is paid and only accepts babies over 6 months old.

MSC ClubAgeSupervisionCost
Baby Club0 to 3 yearsWith parents (Baby Time) or with staff (Baby Care)Baby Time included; Baby Care paid
Mini Club3 to 6 yearsTrained staffIncluded
Junior Club7 to 11 yearsTrained staffIncluded
Young Club12 to 14 yearsTrained staffIncluded
Teens Club15 to 17 yearsTrained staffIncluded

The age groups and rules above are MSC Cruzeiros’ fleet-wide policies, checked in Oct 2026 on the official MSC website. On MSC Divina, the kids’ club goes by the name Doremiland and the teen space as Graffiti Teens Club, split between 12 to 14 and 15 to 17 years old. On a charter, the organizers can change club hours and activities; before relying on them to catch a show without your child, ask PromoAção whether they operate every day and at what times.

Outside the clubs, parents are responsible at all times: pools and waterslides have no babysitter, and the ship is big. A simple rule helps: agree on a fixed meeting point on each deck with your child and write the cabin number on a piece of paper in their pocket. Alcohol on board is only allowed from age 21, which also applies to teens traveling with their parents.

How much does Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar cost and what’s included in the price?

The cabin price isn’t published: the cabin page sends passengers to checkout to see the fare, which changes without notice. What is confirmed is the port fee of R$ 1,350 per person (Oct 2026), paid together with the cabin and available in installments. The fare is per passenger, with fees not included.

Bringing your own drinks from home is prohibited, including water and juice, according to the embarkation rules.

The real bill for a family of four looks like this: each passenger’s fare + 4 × R$ 1,350 in fees (Oct 2026), if the fee also applies to children + juices and sodas on board, if you’re not in Experience + transport to Santos and, for those coming from far away, one hotel night the day before. The fee alone, for four people, adds up to R$ 5,400 (Oct 2026). Ask customer service whether an infant pays the full fee before you book.

What cabin types are there and which is worth it for a family?

Festivalzinho sells inside, inside superior, ocean view, balcony, Experience balcony, Experience suites and MSC Yacht Club cabins, accommodating 2, 3 or 4 people. For a family with a small child, an ocean view or balcony cabin pays off: natural light helps a child tell day from night across three days without a clock.

CabinWhat it hasFor whom
Inside and inside superiorNo view; the superior one is on the higher decksFamilies who only sleep in the cabin
Ocean viewSide view of the seaFamilies with a baby who need natural light
BalconyPrivate balcony with a glass doorFamilies with older kids (balconies require supervision)
Experience balcony and suitesDrinks included, priority boarding, reserved dinner restaurantParents who want shorter lines
MSC Yacht ClubPrivate area, 24h butler, exclusive restaurant and drinks includedThose who want the most complete package

All cabins have a bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, TV, safe and minibar; twin beds convert into a double bed on request. With four people, the cabin gets tight, because the extra beds are usually wall-mounted bunks or a sofa bed; for more comfort, the organizers suggest two double cabins, which are 10% off for purchases made by 10/31/2026. That math makes sense for couples with two older kids; with a baby, everyone together in a triple is usually more practical.

Cribs, baby bathtubs and high chairs in the restaurant don’t appear on the event’s official website. Ask in writing from PromoAção customer service at the time of purchase, and check whether the crib fits in your chosen cabin along with the extra bed. The Experience balcony has the advantage of priority boarding, which shortens the line at the terminal when you’re carrying a child.

Tip: on charters, balcony and Experience cabins are the first to sell out. If you’re also looking at a regular January ship, MSC Virtuosa on 01/16 has balconies for sale on Logitravel; check MSC Virtuosa balconies.

Can you go on a regular ship without the festival?

Yes. The 01/17 to 01/20 charter is sold only by PromoAção, but Logitravel sells regular Santos sailings the same week and MSC Divina itself on other dates, from R$ 2,344 per person (Oct 2026). The 01/17 ship isn’t sold on Logitravel, because it’s chartered.

MSC Divina · 01/29/20273Santos, BúziosR$ 2,344 (Oct 2026)

Prices are per person, in a double cabin, checked on Logitravel on 10/11/2026. MSC Virtuosa on 01/16 departs Santos one day before Festivalzinho and spends a week in the Northeast, with beach stops the charter doesn’t guarantee. MSC Divina on 01/29 is the same ship, same length and same MSC kids’ club, just without the Galinha Pintadinha and Mundo Bita shows; it’s the cheapest option to test cruising with a small child, and the 01/23 sailing is the most affordable of the one-week options.

The difference is the programming: on the charter, the kids’ show is the reason for the trip; on a regular ship, the entertainment is the onboard theater and MSC’s kids’ club. To understand how minimum age, cribs and child fares work on regular sailings, the cruising with kids and babies guide compares MSC and Costa. On a regular cruise, a child as the 3rd or 4th guest usually pays less than an adult, but fees are charged for everyone.

Which port does the cruise leave from and how do you get to embarkation in Santos?

Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar leaves from the port of Santos, via Concais, the passenger terminal at Avenida Cândido Gaffrée, s/n, Armazém 25 Interno. The terminal and gate are on your e-ticket; directions, parking and pier rules are in the Santos port guide for cruises.

From São Paulo, the drive down via Imigrantes or Anchieta takes about 1h30 without traffic, but January Sundays mean mountain traffic. With a child, the calmest option is to sleep in Santos on the night of 01/16 and arrive at the terminal at the start of the embarkation window, from 12pm to 4pm on 01/17, before the line grows. Hotels in Santos for the night of 01/16 to 01/17 on Booking are in Gonzaga and Ponta da Praia, along the waterfront, or downtown, closer to the pier.

If you have the morning free before embarkation, the Santos Aquarium, in Ponta da Praia, and the historic downtown tram keep kids entertained before hours of lines and X-rays. Other sailings from the same port are in the cruises departing from Santos guide.

What documents do I need to board?

To board Festivalzinho, each adult presents an original photo ID, valid and in good condition: RG, CNH or RNE. Children under 12 can board with an original birth certificate, according to the organizers. The trip is along the Brazilian coast only, so a passport isn’t required.

Minors under 18 traveling without their parents or guardians need authorization from both, in two copies, with notarized signatures; when the minor travels with another companion, such as grandparents or aunts and uncles, the official website requires the domestic travel authorization form. Pregnant women can travel up to 23 weeks, with an original medical certificate at embarkation; at 24 weeks or more, boarding is prohibited. X-ray screening confiscates drinks, including non-alcoholic ones, plus irons, hair dryers, flat irons and sharp objects; baby milk and baby food aren’t on the list, so confirm with PromoAção before bringing them.

Onboard medical care and medication are paid separately, and public healthcare doesn’t work on the ship. With kids, fever and ear infections are the most common travel surprises, and every visit to the ship’s medical center is charged. Bring fever reducer, rehydration solution and the motion sickness medication your pediatrician recommends.

Tip: the ship’s medical center charges for every visit, and charter fares usually aren’t refunded close to the date; insurance with medical and cancellation coverage protects your family in both cases. get a travel insurance quote.

Is Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar worth it? Who it’s for and who it isn’t

It’s worth it for families with kids aged 1 to 8 who already listen to Mundo Bita, Galinha Pintadinha or Tiquequê, and for parents who want to see Alceu Valença or Vanessa da Mata on the same trip. It’s not worth it for anyone wanting to explore beaches: the itinerary is uncertain, and the price pays for the shows, not the ports of call.

What nobody tells you: the R$ 1,350 per person fee (Oct 2026) doesn’t show up in the cabin price and adds to each passenger’s total; the itinerary can change due to weather with no refund for missed ports; internet on board is paid; and PromoAção states it doesn’t sell drink packages, dinners with artists, backstage access or Wi-Fi. Any “meet Galinha Pintadinha” offer sold by third parties isn’t part of the official contract. Buy through the official Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar website, by phone with PromoAção or through an accredited agency. To understand onboard costs, see the how much does a cruise cost guide.

Conclusion

If your child already sings along to Mundo Bita and Galinha Pintadinha, Festivalzinho em Alto-Mar from 01/17 to 01/20 is the only way to see both on one ship: buy on the official website, add the R$ 1,350 per person fee (Oct 2026), take advantage of the 10% October discount on double cabins and choose an ocean view or balcony. If the show isn’t the centerpiece of your trip, MSC Virtuosa on 01/16 or MSC Divina on 01/29 deliver a family cruise for less.
