Downtown, Providencia or Las Condes: how to choose your base

Your neighborhood should follow the party you pick. Downtown is the bet for those hoping for a possible return of the Torre Entel celebration; Providencia and Las Condes have hotels with availability we checked, but that doesn’t amount to a public announcement. Espacio Riesco is in Huechuraba, outside these three bases: confirm your round-trip transportation before buying tickets. Las Majadas is in Pirque, outside the central urban area.

If you choose Providencia, check the address of your dinner or party and plan your way back to the hotel. Room availability in the neighborhood does not confirm a public celebration for New Year’s Eve.

Public and free celebration: what exists today

No announcement for 2027. The Municipalidad de Santiago has not yet published a specific operation for 12/31/2026. Location, fireworks, performers, free admission and special metro service all remain pending.

Why Torre Entel matters — as history

For the 2025→2026 countdown, the city government announced the event would return to the Alameda after seven years, starting at 8 p.m., with musical performances and pyrotechnics at midnight. Entel’s press release described that edition as open and free. Those details belong only to that edition; they neither authorize nor predict 2027.

In that same historic edition, street closures were announced between 3 p.m. on December 31 and 7 a.m. on January 1. Metro Line 1 was extended until 1:30 a.m., with specific stations for entry and exit. For 2027, treat that information as a planning reminder: if the event returns, expect access controls and travel patterns different from the usual routine, but don’t count on the same operation.

The Las Condes signal isn’t an announcement either

The Las Condes procurement listings list “Fuegos Artificiales Año Nuevo” for December 2026, 2027 and 2028 and indicate that background information must be communicated at least 15 days in advance. The document is useful for showing that administrative planning is underway, but it does not confirm that there will be an open party, fireworks on the night of 12/31/2026, a location, a time or an entry method. The 2025→2026 event at Parque Los Dominicos was reported by the city government itself as a previous edition, not as a 2027 calendar entry.

Private parties and paid dinners already announced

There are two options with a name and announcement for 12/31/2026. Anyma is a show and New Year’s Eve celebration in Huechuraba; the sales page lists prices by phase and section, with fees. Las Majadas sells a package with accommodation, dinner and party in Pirque, about 50 minutes from Santiago according to the hotel itself, with no public rate in the announcement we checked. One option doesn’t replace the other: check the address, whether dinner is included and the cancellation policy.

Where to stay in Santiago for New Year’s Eve

In our Booking search on 09/26/2026, the eight hotels below showed rooms for 12/30 to 01/02, three nights and two adults, a rating of at least 8 and more than 100 reviews. The total price seen in the search ranged from R$ 1,130 to R$ 2,188 for two people and three nights, with taxes included in the cards we checked. None of them was presented as a hotel within walking distance of Espacio Riesco. Book with free cancellation when available and confirm your party’s address before you commit.

How much does New Year’s Eve in Santiago cost?

For New Year’s Eve itself, getting from the party back to your hotel is a separate decision from the airport transfer. Espacio Riesco is in Huechuraba; Las Majadas is in Pirque.
