New Year’s Eve in Salvador 2027 (the night of 12/31/2026 into 01/01/2027) already has Ivete Sangalo and Bell Marques confirmed at the Festival Virada Salvador, but the full lineup and fireworks locations haven’t been released yet. Book a hotel with free cancellation in the meantime.

1. Festival Virada in Boca do Rio (free) Confirmed 2027
Ivete Sangalo leads the countdown and Bell Marques also plays on 12/31, at Arena O Canto da Cidade (Bahia Notícias, 10/15/2026). Staying in Armação or Boca do Rio lets you walk back or take a short ride.

2. Paid party or VIP box On sale
The Lounge Virada Salvador, inside the arena, costs R$ 920 (half-price) or R$ 1,840 (full price) + 12% fee on the night of 12/31, with open bar (Salvador FM, 10/15/2026). Outside the arena, Réveillon 7 Mares, all samba, runs from 10 pm on 12/31 to 4 am on 01/01, at Jardim dos Namorados, with Escandurras, Diggo and UEL, for ages 18+. Arena Open Bar costs R$ 295 + R$ 29.50 fee and Área Vip Open Bar R$ 395 + R$ 39.50, both in the first batch (Ticketmaker, checked on 10/26/2026). If you're going to 7 Mares, skip the car by staying in Pituba.

3. A quiet New Year's, no arena
The Centro Histórico has a fireworks spot at Santo Antônio Além do Carmo (2025/26 list) and it's far from the crush at Farol da Barra and Boca do Rio. The 2027 spots haven't been released yet: confirm before you build your plan.

Who's playing at the Virada Salvador 2027 show
As of 10/26/2026 the mayor has confirmed two acts for 12/31: Ivete Sangalo, in charge of the countdown, and Bell Marques (Bahia Notícias, 10/15/2026). The festival runs from December 30 to January 3 (Correio, 10/15/2026), but the day-by-day lineup, the stages and the fireworks time hadn't been announced as of 10/26/2026.

Where to watch the fireworks for free in Salvador
The 2027 locations, time and duration hadn't been announced as of 10/26/2026. On New Year's 2025/26 the display lasted 10 minutes at the festival, in Boca do Rio, and was repeated at 22 spots across the city (Alô Alô Bahia, 12/31/2025). Among the most popular were Barra, Rio Vermelho, Amaralina, Jardim de Alah, Itapuã, Boa Viagem, Ribeira and Santo Antônio Além do Carmo, plus spots on the islands of Maré and Frades (Correio's list, 12/31/2025).
Rules from the 2025/26 edition (Alô Alô Bahia, 12/27/2025), a good baseline for 2027:
- Not allowed: glass bottles, coolers, knives and sharp objects, chemical or flammable substances.
- Sparkling wine: on 12/31, allowed in plastic containers.
Lounge, VIP boxes and paid parties
On sale for 2026/27 are the Lounge Virada Salvador, in the arena, from 12/30 to 01/03 (exclusive open bar on the night of 12/31), and Réveillon 7 Mares. At the prices published by G1 on 10/15/2026 (the Meu Bilhete sales page didn't state the batch on 10/23/2026; not re-checked on 10/26), on 12/31 the lounge costs R$ 920 (half-price), R$ 1,840 (full price) and R$ 970 for the solidarity ticket (2 kg of food), plus a 12% fee: R$ 1,030.40, R$ 2,060.80 and R$ 1,086.40. On other nights the full price ranges from R$ 380.80 to R$ 470.40, without open bar; the five-night pass costs from R$ 1,571.70 (half-price) to R$ 3,143.40 (full price), G1 figures with no fee confirmation (Salvador FM, 10/15/2026). Réveillon Celebration, an all-inclusive VIP box at Casa da Barra, near Farol da Barra, costs R$ 475 in the first batch on 12/31, per the sales page on 10/21/2026 (10 pm to 4 am, no fee; kids up to 10 free). Two other parties have first-batch prices: Réveillon Alerta Praia (9 pm to 4 am) charges R$ 140 (Beach), R$ 160 (Lawn) and R$ 260 (Premium VIP Box), all open bar, plus a 10% fee (Sympla, 10/28/2026); Réveillon Axé Bahia, on a schooner, costs R$ 360 (Ticket Maker, 10/28/2026).
How to get there and back
Buses (2025/26 edition): three special lines served the festival, 2026-00 Acesso Norte, 2026-01 Pirajá and 2026-02 Metrô Pituaçu, from 5:40 pm until midnight, and six regular lines extended their hours until 1 am (Rede Bahia, post with no visible date). The 2027 transit plan hadn't been announced as of 10/26/2026.
After midnight: we found no subway or bus plan for the early hours, and there's no public data on rideshare prices on New Year's Eve. If you're staying near the Arena or your chosen fireworks spot, you can walk back. If you're leaving on the 1st, compare tickets in advance and buy the return along with the outbound trip.
