What changes between MSC Bella, Fantastica and Aurea?

Bella, Fantastica and Aurea are booking experiences: they combine a cabin with rules and services. Interior, ocean view, balcony and suite describe the physical accommodation; compare both pieces of information together.

The official MSC experience table keeps main dining and shared entertainment as the base. The decisive difference starts with cabin control and moves on to service conveniences. Benefits checked in Oct/2026:

With Bella, check whether you accept an obstructed or partial view and the assignment close to embarkation. For travelers booking more than one cabin, location has real value: being on the same corridor makes it easier to coordinate schedules and keep track of family members. A cheap booking can lose its advantage if that organization is essential and isn’t guaranteed.

The experience doesn’t automatically change the size of your room. A Fantastica balcony may suit your group better than an Aurea cabin in a different position. Before you pay, look at the deck plan, the cabin number when available and the specific features of the category, including occupancy and any view obstacles.

How much do Bella, Fantastica and Aurea cost on the same sailing?

On the 02/14/2027 sailing of MSC Seaview, in a balcony with double occupancy, Bella came in at R$ 8,314, Deluxe at R$ 8,394 and Aurea at R$ 9,214 per person (Oct/2026). The price of the Fantastica experience on the same sailing is still to be confirmed: the Deluxe category alone doesn’t identify the package booked.

The comparison was made on Logitravel’s own sales page, with two 35-year-old adults and no loyalty card or discount code. Only prices with selectable availability were considered; values shown on unavailable options were discarded. These are balcony accommodations, but location and category code differ.

Price source: Logitravel sales page, MSC Seaview from Santos on 02/14/2027, values verified on 10/14/2026. Aurea came in R$ 900 per person, or R$ 1,800 per couple, above Bella (Oct/2026). The page also showed a Deluxe balcony BR1 for R$ 8,394 (Oct/2026), but that value wasn’t attributed to Fantastica without confirmation of the package.

A small extra for choosing your cabin can be worth it when it solves an important need. The R$ 900 per person for Aurea, on the other hand, needs to find concrete use in the itinerary: if you spend your days ashore and rarely use the thermal area, you may prefer to save that money for expenses on land. The decision changes if fares diverge on another date.

The trip cost combines fare, port fees, hotel service charge when not included, drinks, internet, shore excursions and transport to Santos. The page for this sailing states the service charge is included in the booking. Don’t add a charge twice: ask for the breakdown of the final amount. For items without an available price, check the applicable price with the cruise line and keep the optional purchase separate.

Aurea shouldn’t be bought assuming free alcoholic drinks. Read the offer: a promotion may combine the experience and a package, but the benefit must be described. Our MSC drinks package guide helps you decide that expense separately. A balcony with an extra drink package can cost more than another cabin without the package, even when both carry the same experience name.

Which MSC experience is worth it for you?

Choose Bella when the lowest price and access to the ship’s everyday life are enough; Fantastica when cabin position matters; Aurea when you’ll use its wellness and dining perks.

Your profileChoice that makes senseWhen to reconsider
You want to save and accept assignmentBellaIf location, view or nearby cabins are essential
You want to choose your cabin and organize the groupFantasticaIf the difference grows too much and location won’t change your trip
You plan to enjoy the thermal area and flexible diningAureaIf you’ll mostly be ashore or traveling with children who won’t use the thermal area

For a first cruise, start with the routine you imagine on board. If you plan to head out early at every port, you may barely use breakfast in the cabin. If you want to relax and have freedom for dinner, you’ll find a more concrete benefit in Aurea. No option avoids lines at every activity or includes everything the ship sells.

Families should start with the accommodation setup. How many beds are there? Does the cabin fit everyone under the booked conditions? If there are two reservations, how far apart are the rooms? The fare difference can only be judged after those answers. Don’t treat an operational cabin change as a guarantee of a superior experience: accommodation and service package are two different things.

Another choice is switching cruise line or date instead of upgrading the experience. Use the MSC vs. Costa comparison to organize that decision. Compare itinerary and duration, then cabin and add-ons; an apparently lower daily rate can hide a longer trip and higher total expenses.

Can Fantastica and Aurea be canceled without a penalty?

A change without a fee isn’t the same as free cancellation: Fantastica and Aurea have rebooking conditions, and cancellation follows the contract applicable to the purchase.

The experiences page provides for a change up to 30 days before sailing and a new cruise within 90 days of the original departure. Check the conditions in the document provided by the agency: deadline, fare difference and limits of the change must be clear. MSC’s direct sales terms apply to bookings on the cruise line’s website and don’t automatically replace an agency’s contract.

To compare offers, ask how much you’d lose if you cancel at each stage and the rule for removing just one passenger from the cabin. Also check what happens to drinks and other services purchased in advance. Choosing a more expensive experience without reading those clauses can increase the amount at risk without solving the reason you booked it.

Which documents and insurance should you bring on this route?

For Brazilians on the itinerary with Argentina and Uruguay, MSC requires a valid RG (Brazilian ID) or passport; a driver’s license is not accepted for those destinations. Children also need proper documentation and, when applicable, travel authorization.

Driver’s license at embarkation — checked on 10/16/2026: for Brazilian adults, MSC and Costa accept a driver’s license in good condition on cruises with stops in Brazil only. With Argentina or Uruguay, a driver’s license isn’t valid: bring the original physical ID accepted or a valid passport, as required by the cruise line.

Minors under 18: MSC’s list (clause 5.9.1) for domestic trips requires an RG, original birth certificate or passport valid for at least 6 months; Costa requires an RG issued less than 10 years ago or an original birth certificate only for children under 12. A driver’s license isn’t on those lists for minors. Bring proof of parentage and the authorizations required depending on the accompanying adults and the itinerary. Details are in cruise documents.

Check MSC’s official guidance on documents and visas, consulted in Oct/2026. The cruise line requires insurance for trips to Argentina. An Aurea booking doesn’t waive documents or coverage: validate passenger names, validity and the requirements of each port before you pay.

Medical care on board is paid, and your coverage must apply to the cruise and the itinerary. Read limits, exclusions and any cancellation coverage, which depends on the causes listed in the policy. Keep your certificate, assistance contacts and copies of your booking details somewhere accessible without relying on the ship’s internet.

Tip: before embarkation, compare insurance conditions for on-board care and for Argentina: get a travel insurance quote at SegurosPromo.

What changes for children, pregnant travelers and older adults?

The experience you choose doesn’t change MSC’s age, pregnancy or accessibility rules. Aurea’s thermal area is for adults only; that’s why a family should consider who will actually use the benefit.

MSC’s official accessibility and health page states that it doesn’t accept pregnancies beyond 23 weeks and 6 days at any point during the trip and requires a medical certificate under the permitted conditions (Oct/2026). For babies and minors, confirm the sailing’s policy and occupancy conditions before buying.

Older adults and people with reduced mobility should prioritize a cabin that meets their concrete needs. Convenient proximity and an adapted cabin are different decisions; paying for Aurea doesn’t guarantee adaptation. Notify the cruise line in advance about any assistance needed and check which ports use tender boats. If the person depends on help with personal tasks, plan for a companion able to provide it.

How do you organize embarkation in Santos?

Plan your arrival in Santos around the check-in time on your ticket, with a buffer for ground travel and document checks. Aurea priority doesn’t change the final embarkation deadline.

If you’re flying in, consider the whole journey between the airport, Santos and the terminal, not just the landing time. Those coming from far away may want to arrive the day before. Book transport with time for the unexpected and keep your documents with you, out of checked luggage. Our guide to the port of Santos for cruises details how to organize this step.

A city tour fits better when there’s free time before check-in at the terminal. Choose an activity and time that work with your ticket; don’t squeeze a long tour into embarkation morning counting only on priority in line. The land portion remains the responsibility of your trip planning.

When you finalize the booking, check the experience in writing, the cabin code and what’s included in the price. Ask for confirmation of any promotional package, especially drinks, and save the fee breakdown. That documentation is more useful than a generic description of comfort or a similar-sounding commercial name.

If Bella meets what you want, stick with it and protect your budget. If you need to choose your cabin, compare Fantastica on the same date. For Aurea, the decision should have a benefit you plan to use during those nights; when that use doesn’t appear, the difference deserves to be weighed against another sailing.
