When is the Parintins Festival?

The expected dates are June 25–27, 2027, Friday through Sunday, according to the festival’s website as consulted on November 3, 2026. It’s a forecast: the same page still carries an old text saying “June 27, 28 and 29,” and we found no statement from the Association of the bois or the Amazonas state government. In 2026, it ran June 26–28.

The festival is the showdown between Garantido and Caprichoso at the Bumbódromo, which holds 20,000 people. According to the official website, 21 elements are judged, such as the presenter, the toada singer, the cunhã poranga and the floats. In the end, one boi is crowned champion. How to buy tickets without getting scammed

Tickets for 2027 don’t have a price or on-sale date yet (checked November 3, 2026). Based on the 2026 rules, paid sections go on sale through Amazon Best, usually between December and January, and can’t be bought before the official opening (Portal Amazônia). Anyone offering tickets before that is a likely scam: confirm the link from the festival’s website.

Passport, 3 nights (premium)around R$ 4,800Approximate price (Correio)

These are prices from the 2026 edition and don’t apply to 2027. For the 2024 edition (the 57th), the ticketing company predicted tickets would last about half an hour, but users reported sellouts in under 15 minutes and trouble with the website and app (Rede Onda Digital).

Garantido vs. Caprichoso: what changes for attendees

The practical rule is to avoid the rival’s colors in the bois’ corrals: according to the festival’s website, this can keep you from getting in. If in doubt, wear neutral colors and enjoy both nights of performances without picking a side.

How to get to Parintins and how to get back

Parintins is 369 km from Manaus and has no road access: you can only get there by river or air (CNN Brasil). Compare the options using 2026 prices:

Boat tickets usually go on sale right after Carnival and are bought at the port of Manaus, at Balsa Amarela or via WhatsApp (Portal Amazônia, 2026). Prefer the vessel’s own channel and keep your receipt. For the return trip, the sources we read don’t detail schedules: book your outbound and return together and avoid scheduling anything for Monday morning. If you’re passing through Manaus, check out the Manaus tours with Civitatis.

Where to stay during the festival

Parintins has few hotels, and packages are usually sold more than six months in advance (Portal Amazônia, 2026). Among those mentioned are Amazon River Resort, Avenida, Palace, Amazonas, Brito and Pérola. There are also rooms and homes offered by locals through the “Cama e Café da Manhã” (Bed and Breakfast) project and boats with hammock or cabin. For a sold-out event, book with free cancellation when possible. See hotels in Parintins on Booking (June 25–28, 2027).

What to bring and what to know before you go

Bring light clothing, comfortable shoes, a cap, sunscreen, insect repellent, a rain jacket, water and cash: internet is spotty and Pix or cards can fail (Portal Amazônia, 2026). Keep an eye on your belongings and carry only the essentials in your bag. Travel insurance helps with cancellations and health care far from Manaus: get a travel insurance quote. As for what you can bring into the Bumbódromo, the official source hadn’t detailed it as of November 3, 2026.
